Why I will upgrade to Tracktion 2 - the Double Take

Why not? I was being stingy before. It comes with the full 1.2 gigs of RMV samples and the synth itself plus the cool Rex guitar player VST, not to mention Amplitube LE. Combining REx with Amplitube LE should make for some very cool results.
Im in. I hope they add good timestretch and tempo match like Acid sometime in the future.

Good for you, Montana - I think it will be great, and well worth whatever the upgrade fee is.Montana wrote:Why not? I was being stingy before. Don't we all? The only real disappointment though, and as Beno said, there's always Tracktion 2.1Im in. I hope they add good timestretch and tempo match like Acid sometime in the future.

An idiot on Set Theory:

No, but he did use the phrase "Tracktion 2.1" when answering another question. My point is, if there are some features that we would like to see in Tracktion that didn't make it into version to, don't despair! Beno's remark shows that further development on Tracktion will be ongoing.clueless wrote:you mean Beno's actually confirmed that there's nothing like this in the upgrade??!!headquest wrote:Don't we all? I think it is fair to watch any software program grow with reach update, and Tracktion has been catching up fast with programmes that have been around for more than a decade now. In some areas it is even ahead of the competition. Hang in there and I think you will be stunned by its continued development... imagine how great it will be at version 3, 4, 5, etc.
So the issue (for me, anyway) is not whether T2 has each and every feature found in other (more expensive software), but whether I find it productive for my own music-making needs. The whole ethos and design of Tracktion are (IMHO) better than any other music production software at present, and the features are being added thick and fast.

The LinPlug chap in the LinPlug board was careful to point out that the contracts etc had yet to be agreed and would neither confirm nor deny that it is 'full' RMIVglurgle wrote:yes it was, or did I miss something?soulata wrote:but not confirmed.ron505 wrote: Lin Plug -RMIV Intuitive analog drum machine and

i think it's safe to believe that there will be yet more to be added to T2. just think back to T1, that was out for a fair little while before rack filters were added...
i'm sure there'll be plenty of opportunity for swish updates to our beloved T2 when it is out. it's gonna be a long time before jules considers a T3, so he's gonna be surely spending a lot of his time doing more with this cute little puppy!
i'm not afraid of anything. T2 is MINE!

I will upgrade cause I like Tracktion.
I don't need any of the plugs.
I already own every plug I need.
