obvious choice
it may be more accurate >8 <10
since about half that finger was intact
he did have his moments

Oh, Phil Keaggy.
That Phil KeaggyHe is aware that God gave him a calling to deliver the Gospel through his music, and for over 30 years, Phil Keaggy has been grateful to do just that, and will hopefully continue to do so for many years to come.

Phil Keggy absolutely rips on guitar. He also was a pioneer of the live recording/playback on stage thing. I also have nine fingers and gave it up 'cause I could never figure out how to bar a chord. I took up keyboard and the rest is history--or it would be, if I was good enough to make history
Anyway. Keaggy is one of the finest in anybody's book no matter where he's coming from.

This thread reminded me of the classic line in "The Big Lebowski" Walter screams at the nilests just before hurling a bowling ball at them "Dipshit with a nine toed woman!"

Strictly speaking, he wasn't missing any fingers, but regardless, I think it makes him the best *8* fingered guitarist.

I saw him at the music store before Christmas. He is the local legend. He's still killing it.

Of course, some guitarists sound like they have nine fingers on each hand (i.e. Alan Holdsworth).

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I don't doubt it, I just posted that quote to explain why I've likely never heard of him. Got nothin' 'gainst God or the Gospel.japut_99 wrote:Anyway. Keaggy is one of the finest in anybody's book no matter where he's coming from.

Tony Iommi
Ozzys Guitarist from the old days had half of a finger missing. I believe one of his frett fingers too.
Just seen this web site on him ...
