Inserting a measure at the beginning - possible?

It's late, so I just may have overlooked it--

Is there a way to globally insert X number of empty measures to the beginning of an edit? If not, I'll have to manually move a bunch of different tracks forward, which is not a big deal but is work that I wouldn't mind avoiding if possible.

Cheers,
Greg

Select all Tracks. Mark your In and Out points at the beggining of your edit with the size of the space you wish to insert.
In the properties panel, choose Insert Into Tracks>Insert Silence into Marked Region.
Ta da!

Note: This does not shift over any automation in T1. Automation moves as well in T2.

Or, right click in the input area, select all track, click on the select all clips button then use ctrl plus arrow key to move everything anywhere you want without leaving behind any clips.

The problem with this though is the same as Beno's method, none of the automation points will follow.:(

I heard that T2 will solve this :D .

Does this move the tempo information as well ? I have had a few
suprises with inserting bars at the start finding that midi
clips get messed up. The problems arise when there are
different time signatures inserted at different regions of the
edit. If I move the time signatures they affect the clips
If I move the clips they get affected in a different way so
the only way out is undo !!!!
I have some strange visual effects around time signature
change points as well sometimes the bar start is unaccesible
and the clip contents are un editable if the start of the
bar is visible !!!! very strange.
I do a lot of work with changing time signatures so this
happens quite often for me.

Cheers for the replies. Luckily I have no automation or tempo changes to worry about! :D

Say... only... 5 more days until T2! ;) ;)

Can you give me a more detailed description of exactly what is happening and how we can reproduce it?
