No. Definitely not. And to be honest there has never been a product that had timestretch so good that it would have made a difference to whether I would have bought it or not. Not that I use it that much as an important part of my music but all the software I have that does it seems to produce some undesirable artefact.

No. Tons of other features which I'm more interested in!

Can't make that decision until they tell how much the upgrade price is going to be.

Seriously, this was the only feature I was looking for in T2 (jens go ahead and search my posts). I did think a notation editor would be nice, but based on why I bought T1 (because it was advertised as having time stretch), I thought they would do the right thing and include something useable for the advertised feature.

So until I find out what the upgrade price is, I'm not saying. If the upgrade price is less than a FL Studio competetive upgrade, then I'll give it a go. If not, FL or something else I can re-wire in, here I come.

No, but I don't use prefab loops.

..possibly we can all agree that using time-stretch is a working style issue, there are many means to an end and if there are people who need this, it should be included in 2.1.

needing timestretch doesn't imply that you use prefab loops.

Lack of timestretch alone won't stop me upgrading if the improvements in other areas speed up my workflow significantly. but lack of it is one mark against T so far.

thankyou! :D

in answer to the thread title -

"whether" - no, probably not
"when" - most probably

No, but that's the reason why I personally don't need it... like that sentence makes any sense :?

Yes. I'm more likely to upgrade now (if that's possible as I was pretty convinced already) as I am more confident that the new features are ones I actually need.
