Will the groundhog see it's shadow? And will we see T2?

I thought the fat guy was kinda funny. In a geeky mid-bossish way.

Yeah, you do have a habit of spoiling a lot of interesting, useful and enjoyable threads by turning them into childish nonsense.koolkeys wrote: Honestly, and I KNOW that most agree with me, you're annoying. People are sick of you. It's not funny, it's not cute, it's idiotic. You show a poor personal character here and you really do act like a 12 year old. If you're 12, then I understand. Grow up, and come back in a few years. You ruin alot of what could make this a good forum. While it may not be all you, it sure is mostly you. If you get a kick out of it, then you really need to get a life. Nobody respects you here any more.

I have nothing against you personally and you may be a decent bloke but PLEASE stop being the forum pest.

NO TRACKTION TODAY I GUESS IT WILL BE SOMETIME IN MARCH JUST AS BEN SAID.
Punxsutawney Phil Calls for Six More Weeks of Winter
All eyes turned to Gobblers Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania Wednesday morning to hear the prognosticator of prognosticator's annual winter prediction.
The seer of seers - Punxsutawney Phil - appeared before throngs of fans and said (with help from his handlers), "I'm sorry to say I see my shadow today."
The crowd proceeded to boo Phil for his call for more winter. Legend has it if 'king of the groundhog' sees his shadow, six more weeks of winter are on the way.

I'll tell ya'. Samplitude v8 was announced to arrive in November... they just got it out, and i'm not certain if it's even commercially available, i.e. passed the downloadable demo stage yet... neither here nor there... i'm so pissed at magix, just for the way they "don't" deal with their customers, and i've been w/samplitude since version 1.5. ENTER tracktion 2. They're handling this correctly, since they don't KNOW when it will be out, they're not announcing it. EITHER THAT or it will be out sooner, and lucky us, that would be a great surprise... However, Kudos to Beno and Jules for not announcing something they're not going to deliver, know what i'm saying? I think it's in HORRIBLE taste of samplitude to say November, and not deliver until mid February. That's a LOT of lag time, in my opinion. As a result they've lost a great samplitude fan, cuz i need software and support i can count on. In the meantime, i discovered Tracktion, and whew, i'm hooked, line and sinker! I don't intend on upgrading samplitude this round (and they introduced a dongle...) Instead I'm waiting patiently for T2, even if it's NOT march, just on principal, cuz I REALLY like where this is going
Thanks for the honesty, even when that honesty is not saying anything LOL...

I'm coming roung to agreeing with your position there, johnsholme.
In the last few months I noticed Propellerheads and Sony both said diddly squat about updates to Reason/Acid respectively, despite presure from users to make a statement. In the case of Acid 5 they gave 10 days notice that it was coming out - in other words a bolt from the blue. But as I understand it they got the update right and v.5 is far better than v.4 in terms of bugs/stability.
Similar for Reason 3 - months of silence followed by "ok, there's a version 3. would you like to beta test it? And when it actually works we'll release it..."
I'd rather have a great update that works than a headline-grabbing but half-baked one (e.g. Live 4, Cubase SX1...2).
