Hello, Urs.

I was just wondering about the manual.

I was trying to do snapshot morphing in FS 6Q in logic6 pro,
like mod wheel or some kind of knob to control the snap shot
value(not automated by LFO or others), so that
I can change the snap shot with my hand.

is this possible in Logic?
actually I'm just starting to use Logic(I'm Cubase guy) so
I might be missing something. :?

Manual is due soon. Yesterday I got the final draft from my ghostwriter, but I had some objections. I guess I'll have the text today. Then I'll send it to the dude who's doing the layout and to my trusty language enhancement people :D - Shouldn't take too long, I guess.

Using Midi in an insert effect in Logic is a bit, uhm, not so straight forward.

You have to insert Q6 as an "AU MIDI effect" on an Instrument Track. Then, in the editor window, there's a side chain option. You select the track you wanna work on... done.

This stuff works like a bus. So, you should set the output of the side chained track to "no output".

This is (currently) the only way in Logic to assign Midi to an effect. Unfortunately, the side chain can only hold Audio Tracks and Busses, but no Instruments. (Instruments have to go through a Bus first and then into the track with Q6 on.)

If set up this way, select the instrument track with Q6 on, and you can use the ModWheel to go through the snapshots.

I have no idea if it's possible to set something up in the environment so that you can play an instrument AND modulate Q6 simultaneously...

For a better compatibility on that issue, I'd recommend using Live 4, Numerology or Bidule, which I think handle this stuff way easier...

Cheers,

;) Urs
