Question About Tracktion's Input Quantize

Greetings All (and TIA),

I was wondering if there is any way to choose the degree or strength (so it doesn't completely perfect the performance) of quantization during recording. I know that option exists when applying quantization to an existing clip. I don't mean to be greedy :hihi: ... I realize I can do it after the fact, but here's why I think it's important for input: in DP- my main recording app- I set up a 2 or 4 or more-bar loop, i turn on input quantize and set it somewhere around 70%, and I hit record. Now I can begin to build my drum or guitar or whatever part, just playing a bit of it during each pass (because I'm a lousy player), and each time it loops back around, DP has already 'improved' the notes I played during the last pass, based on my specifications. I find I can get parts down quite quickly this way. Am I missing something? Is there a way to do this in Tracktion?

If I may ramble a bit- although the bulk of my time is spent in DP, my heart remains with Tracktion. I keep hoping it will progress to the point where it offers many of the 'power-features' of the more-mature hosts, and perhaps it will. However, I'm not sure Jules nor Mackie even intends that. Has the J-man ever talked much about that to anybody's knowledge? With 'Takes' happening in T2, this input quantize thing and Tracktion's inability to handle Acid/Apple/REX loops effectively are the only remaining things that keep me working in DP. Still searching for that holy grail (DP/Logic/Sonar/etc power with a Tracktion GUI)...
