OK, I have MKey and Thalamus installed - I follow the instructions on adbe but no midi clip is recorded - I can see the level on the track with MKey and Thalamus responding to key presses but no midi events are created on either track . . . what am I doing wrong ?

Thanks

Tim

Try this piece of software. A little bit simpler than Mkey and Thalamus, but not as flexible.

Have you installed a virtual MIDI driver?

You need to create a virtual MIDI input, to do this install MIDI yoke

http://www.midiox.com/

After install enable MIDI Yoke NT1 input AND output from the settings/ audio devices/ MIDI devices.

After doing this put Thalamus then Mkey on a track by themselves, and set the output of this track to the new virtual output MIDI Yoke NT1 .

Plug the virtual input MIDI yoke NT1 into any other track that has a synth on it, click e-to-e and then press CAPS LOCK and voila! you can play the synth with your keyboard and record it!

Yeah I forgot to say I have MidiYoke.

I started over, did the same again (I think!) and now it works - probably finger trouble last time - thanks for the replies chaps.

Can only trigger part of the kit in sfz/ns_kit though

Sounds like you need to use the octave +/- keys with Mkey.
