When I want to edit a clip with an external editor, Tracktion always trys to open iTunes (not an audio editor). How/where do you change the default audio editor? Mac OS X, ver. 10.3.7.

Post

On the PC you select an audio clip, then "view source info" -> "edit audio file" -> "set the audio editor to use".

I assume it will be the same on your Mac..

I would assume that too, except it is not the same.

It just says "launch this wave file in its default application", and does not give you the option to change it.

:?

perhaps you need to change the default? If you associate your editor with wav & aiff files you should still be able to just double-click your mp3s (or whatever it is you mac people do)

Any mac users want to step up to the mark?

On the Mac, Tracktion uses the application set in the system as the default for wav (or Aiff) files. To change this, in the finder, select a wav file and get info on it (CMD+I) then change the "open with" drop down to the app you wish to use. Then simply press the Change All... button below to apply this to all wave files. Done. Now Tracktion will use the new app to open wav files. Repeat with AIFF and you'll be good to go.
