im really looking foward to the MTC sync. finally my juno 106s will get some more use. that and the new piano roll are my reasons for upgrading. the rest is icing on the cake.
i was a bit worried about the timestretch, but between soundforge,kontakt, and micro dicer i think ill be ok for the time being.

If your host is not transmitting sync that you can't sync the arpeggiator, or in the case of the Wavestation the wave sequence, to your sequencers BPM.
I need MTC so that I can sync Tracktion to Ardour on Linux then I've got a totally Windows free environment.

Actually, I am the one that posted on the French forum... since I went to this show yesterday.
I'm coming back with a translated version of the French details anytime soon, meanwhile, you can check the original post : http://fr.forums.audiofanzine.com/appre ... age,1.html

Je n'ai pas su que les Français aiment Tracktion tellement.piaz wrote:Actually, I am the one that posted on the French forum... since I went to this show yesterday.I'm coming back with a translated version of the French details anytime soon, meanwhile, you can check the original post : http://fr.forums.audiofanzine.com/appre ... age,1.html
[edit: Heh, just read the thread-- good to see that the French have exactly the same host-vs-host circular arguments that we have here.

Well, alas, not everything is about T2 on this particular thread, but as you can see, it is a pretty lively forum, with even a thread for upcoming JUCE apps (written by froggies, of course).

Audiofanzine is an active community with exactly the same lame arguments about "what's the best and what sucks" as anywhere else on Internet (see, French are regular trolls after all
)
The T. lobby there was quite small a few months ago (Piaz, four or five others including myself) but the NFR promo thingy brought a large amount of Audiofanziners to, at least, try Tracktion. And a good bunch sticked to it.
And, most of all, a lot of them are now curious about T2.
My thought is that Mackie did a very good marketing move with this NFR giveaway.
