Sends are easy! Thanks, ModuLR!

As I've mentioned in other threads, despite recommending Senderella to people looking for sends, I hadn't actually USED it much myself, other than loading it to see what it was all about.
On a recent project, I decided I wanted to use a send for reverb, so of course I reached for Senderella (already installed X5, called "Senderella_1", Senderella_2" etc., as I knew I'd need them eventually!). How could doing a send be any easier? Now that I've done it this way, I can say that it's even EASIER than the mixer way of doing things.
The only -only- drawback I can see is that it takes up one track space, which doesn't help screen clutter once a project gets big.
Undebeatable!

Yes they will Ron. I already asked Ben that one.

I haven't used Senderella, but did you say that it takes up a full track? If so, then the aux sends will probably be a bit different, won't they? Kind of like another filter to add to a current track? That would be my guess. Maybe I'm just confused about what you meant. Regardless, I'm looking forward to this very much!

I think the new ones will take up a full track, too. Don't know how else they'd do it with the mixerless layout.
Here's how it'd be done for 2 vocal tracks and 1 reverb send:
Vocal Track 1 filters: Chorus->EQ->Senderella_1
Vocal Track 2 filters: Pitcher->EQ->Senderella_1
Send Track filters: Senderella_1->RoomVerb2M2
In VT 1 and 2, Senderella_1 is in "send" mode.
In Send Track, it's in "return" mode.
So, 1 whole track is just the 'send' channel, with the RoomVerb2M2 set for 100% wet. I suppose you could theoretically use more than 1 effect per send "track", but I haven't tried it yet.
Also I'm not in front of my computer and I've only just begun this, so I might have my Senderellas in the wrong spots, but I think that's right.

1] I don't remember Ben's exact words, but from his post in an earlier thread I understand that the Send/Return in T2 will be much like Senderella, and YES, each return will need its own sequencer lane.
This seems fine to me and I would use the lane for automation of the fx on the bus. At present I sometimes already set up a "Master Channel" lane in exactly this way, as it gives me a logical place for automating the master effects.
2] Lunch Money - yes, that's how Senderella works for me too. Although because Tracktion has a freeze function I tend not to use send/return myself ... the reason I would use send/return would be to save CPU in other programs and this isn't necessary here
3] Sorry Ron - I wasn't trying to be rude earlier - I just needed to get my kids to their swimming lesson on time

I have a feeling senderella will become a relic of the past, as soon as the aux busses arrive in T2... but having a native implementation is best! I'm just kinda happy it's served a purpose in the meantime. w00t!

yes, setting up one send with senderella is easy, but what about two?
like 2 send affects on the same track? for instance i want to put some reverb on a snare, but i also want this snare to go through a multiband compressor.
can this be done?

yeah.. it's pretty easy. Just put the "sender" senderella on the channel with the snare.. and put two "receiver" senderellas on two seperate tracks... one feeding a reverb and the other your multiband comrpessor.Neil G wrote:yes, setting up one send with senderella is easy, but what about two?
