Whenever I'm sitting at a drumkit playing around (I'm absolutely rubbish so I've never really played with other musicians (err, apart from my ex... and no drumming was involved but there was rhythm), just messed about), I always stared intensely at the hi-hats... and if anyone came into the room, my intense stare would follow them as they walked past. It used to really freak people out for some reason. Maybe cos I had a very non 'having fun' face. I couldn't talk to people either and if I tried to, either my speech would develop massive pauses, or my drumming would. Of course I'd then just shutup and go back to concentrating on the drumming.
