Okay,enough said (you're the designer) :D

I only poited it cos "to my ears" it has kind of the same effect.

I just downloaded and tried the beta. I really like this a lot. It adds some genuine analog sounding warmth IMO. It seems ready to roll. When can we buy it please?

I tried it with z3ta+ (italo 80's presets) and analogfluxtapebus in Sonar4 and it sounded wonderful. 8)

I just wanted to add that the output of the plugin tends to overload. This doesn't sound bad though but perhaps some kind of internal limiting might be useful. Perhaps overloading the output is adding to the sound so it's not really a problem but part of the sound. I wouldn't want you to adjust anything in case we lose this lovely sound.

I know this might sound controversial but I wouldn't bother buying any of the DSP cards now that this plugin has arrived. I think the Voxengo suite of plugins does it all. Much better to buy the fastest cpu you can afford and use Voxengo. I'm saying this as a UAD-1 and Poco owner. If only Voxengo did reverb and a analog synth then they would have every DSP card base covered.

The only downside is that I'm going to have to spend time putting all my mixes through this lovely plugin.

awesome! =)

I'm making full-on psychedelic trance which imho has the lowest, most articulating, punchiest basses and bassdrums.

extremely low notes, heavy, extremely full sound, articulation, and crispness rarely go hand in hand. most people trying to make psytrance get stuck with the basses.

even people that has made psy for 10 years (like me) still need to put hours and hours (sometimes even more than 10) per track into fiddling only with the basses and bassdrums so that they sound just right. surprisingly often I use more time getting the bass and the bassdrum right than I use for the rest of the song! (sick, isn't it?-)

needless to say, newcomers have a really tough time.

this scene /really/ needs a plugin that will allow spending less time on the basses and more time on the song itself. and of course make better sounds than ever before ;)

maxxbass and rbass seem best atm but I'm dreaming of something radically better. something that could make a 50hz saw wave sound really fat, full of harmonics for the whole spectrum =) make it crisp and remove /all/ "loose rumble" .. etc etc .. at least easier than now ..

we're making basslines with a saw osc looping only twice per (1/16) note. one revolution of the osc per note is impossible to get sounding full enough. or is it? there's a challenge for you ;)) I think you are one of the only people I know that could make a such plugin that would sound good enough. I hope you think that, too =)

good luck
michael
