so is this manual being written in Aramaic or something?

maybe he´s gonna sculpture it in stone for the prototype
 All good ideas.

But as I described earlier the manual has been finished for quite some time now. Whats holding Compadre back is a bug that only a few of the betatesters experienced. I have found a system where I can reproduce the bug, and I'm doing everything possible to fix it as fast as possible. It does however seem that the bug also requires some 3rd party changes. We are working on it.

Rune

Yes: Compressing/Ducking a track triggered by another track.

Here's how to do it in CubaseSX:

Hi,

You can find an explanation here:

-> Click the in-line link about sidechaining in general.

Compadre is working very well here. I've been trying the final release candidate in samplitude demo, FL Studio 5 and energy XT. No glitches in anything any more. I'm working on a friends project today, mixing it and applying some final polish to the master. I'm very happy about how compadre turned out. It's amazing how different this little compressor sounds to anything else. It's what I would call a "shaper" compressor. It's not there to sound vintage, smooth (although it can if used carefully), transparent nor anything like that, it's made to shape your drums, percussion etc. and it does just that! I hope Rune gets the demo out so that you all can try it asap!

Cheers!

Any of you lovely beta testers care to post some audio demos?

Post

I'll post one,

Before and After, using the compadre 'shaper' on Kick, Clap and Bass. Kick has extreme settings, clap a bit more moderate but still enhances the 'snap' and bass has some parallel compression to add "bounce", using my own preset [bM]Bouncee (around 132bpm)as starting point. Made the release a bit faster to fit the loops feel.

Here's the clip:

Here's a mp3 for the lazy,

EDIT: Rune, feel free to use that clip on your site if you want. I can make it a bit longer and introduce the compadre separately, like on kick first, then a few seconds later clap, and finally bass.

Cheers!
