Synth1 Presets?

Do the presets for Synth1 just not work in T? I'm not having any luck getting them to load (why do developers of these things insist on installation routines, anyway?).

I got them to work. I had to uninstall and reinstall, allowing Synth1 to install to its' default location (C:\Program Files\Synth 1) and now they work. Not sure, but maybe it looks for them there? I frigging HATE when developers of something that requires a simple .dll file insist on istallation routines! Granted, it has folders for the soundbanks, and a readme, but just zip those up and let me decide where to put them. Ahh, well, it's free after all, I guess I can't bitch too much.
Thanks for trying to help.

I did the regular install then moved the .dll to the Tracktion/plugins folder to elimate the extra VST folder and the resulting scan. Seems to work and reads the presets just fine...
Might be worth a try if you're as anal about your plug-in organization as I am...LOL

I did that too, at least with the .dll, I moved it to my normal "VST Plugins" folder (as recommended in the ReadMe, btw). It just seems that the presets have to reside in the "normal install" folder to be found.
Thanks again.

You do have to direct Synth1's internal browser to search for presets in the right place. There are some good patches to download from KVR, but you need to show Synth 1 exactly where to find them.

I don't mind an installer if it finds all the registry entries when ya uninstall
just putting the dll in your vst folder is good but when deleted ,most times the plugin stays registered so 6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of the other...
