If not, is there anything Reaktor/Synthedit-like that is compatible for a cheap Eventide h8000 alternative? I'm currently saving for an 8k but I could get 3 receptors for that kind of money.

Is Receptor able to host VST's made with SynthEdit?
I found the answer here: http://www.kvraudio.com/get.php
Fill in you search any VST effect, made with SynthEdit and known to be compatible with Receptor. (you will find only 4 effects but the answer to your question is yes)
Is Receptor known to be compatible with Reaktor? I found the answer here: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/54.html
BTW: I fail to see how Reaktor or SynthEdit creations could be a match for an Eventide H8000 unit. What effect in the H8000 are you specifically looking for? Is it the 5.1 reverbs, or stunningly natural sounding UltraShifter? Or are you just drooling, and would a second-hand Yamaha SPX-9000 unit do also?
