People actually seem to like your compressor but you still need to do 2 things to help yourself here:

1. Give a demo that shows it mashing the utter crap out of something. People seem to prefer this kind of thing in a a demo, show what it can do when cranked up!

2. Drop the slight attitude at people making suggestions. To tell your own potential customers that they are wrong is really pretty poor if you want people to like you and your product/s.

Just give us a savage demo and most people will be happy! :)

er... - what in the world makes you think it's Bmanic's compressor? :?

(and that from a regular like you, Quincy :uhuhuh: )

f**k it i made a mistake!

My bad

My point about the demo stands, need one, a big dirty sounding one!!

By the way what the hell has me being regular got to do with it? Hasn't it become abundantly clear since i've been here that i know jack shit?! :D

Sorry if there has been confusion about this.
Compadre is an otiumFX product. So it's my responsibility to provide demo's for customers, don't take it out on bmanic :-)

As mentioned earlier, I prefer people to download the trial version and test out the plug-in for themselves. It's really the only way to demo a product fairly.

Quincy,

When have I told anybody is wrong? I only expressed my own opinion that people took my AUDIO DEMO of Compadre the wrong way. I was trying to show what can be done with it and what do I get as comments? " I can't hear it..", " It's too subtle.." and then finally " I'm not impressed at all of the compressor.. ". Well, as it's not my product I'm not too worried about the last one but mainly a bit embarrased that I might cause potential loss in sales of compadre which would not be fair as it's a VERY GOOD compressor (which is why I'm removing the links to the demos now).

And lastly, I'm really surprised by the reaction to this whole thing.. :-o but it's KvR at it's best! :hihi:

Cheers everyone! :)

Yeah sorry about the mix-up there, didn't mean to offend.

I had thought that the developer themself was saying "My compressor is great and you're all wrong", but that clearly wasn't the case as i now realise. If that was the case it would have been dodgy dev behaviour!

And apologies for insulting your demo, i was just expecting something extreme thats all. I'll have to try the demo myself sometime soon and see what it can do.

Jens - Looks like i'm an idiot then doesn't it! I have only been dropping in and out of KVR to avoid going insane lately, so my apologies for this whole confusion  :)

I just tried the demo and is impresive, this thing is a slapper,my ears tickle after half and hour, and my face turned red by the slaps.

This is a comp for Xtreme setting with loads of control.

...sh!t where is my freaking wallet now... :x

Actually I am using this more and more and more and actually am starting to understand the how's and why's of compression.

I just love how versatile this plug is and how ultra refined it works.

so

Bump!

Post

I really love it for beats compression and the side chaining stuff, but a little cpu intensive on my system, at least the stereo s.c.one
(correct me if I'm wrong).

haha! a true thread resurrection.

Yeh, compadre is still one of the top compressors.

GCO1 and its variants, crunchessor and compadre are all ace.

Also, there's something looming in the horizon that will wipe the tables with many of those with its own new sound.

shite. I said too much already. :-o

There's supposed to be a compressor coming from URS. Surely that will be OSX (and $1000 and iLok)

Yes - I've heard about that one too...uhm let's compare notes - what have you heard... :D

Are we talking about the VST one for PC's or something on a UAD or TC card?

Meanwhile another plug for Beatpuncher!

Post

To clarify, I would have to say maybe, no, and not until the monkey comes home. But that's speculation already.
