Before all the NFR hungry jumped the bandwagon
ARE gonna buy T2 WITH the bundled pluginsuite
(lets presume this suite is downloadable)
AND are gonna buy T2 WITHOUT the extra plugins
(lets hope you can buy it without the suite, i
rather use dr008 than rmIV for example)
??

well im pretty firm for T2 anyway ...
... but IF there is an option for a no plugin downloadable version then that would be my preference (i have more than enough VST stuff to tide me over and ive got RMIV and all the kits anyway) ...

i want it but alone, without all the crap that comes with it, i already have the plugs i need.
I'm only using Tracktion for live tempo mapping of reason, so i dont need no plugins with it
in fact the reason i'll buy T2 is the freaking MIDI clock output, so i can sync my kaoss pad and electribed with reason and still have a tempo map so i dont need to fiddle with tempo live, just start, stop, next locator, start again...
so please Mackie, make a no frill version(downloadable of course) of T2, and i'll be in for sure, but i dont want to pay for audio units i'll just delete after install

I don't need the plugs either.

I'm in the class of "NFR hungry" who "jumped the bandwagon".
I was honestly about to ask my wife to get me Tracktion as a Christmas gift when the NFR offer began.
I really am not sure if I'll buy T2. I have the luxury of being pretty satisfied with T1.6, so T2 isn't really bringing much that I need right now (I suspect that's the case with a lot of users, but the thrill of new features sells alot of upgrades), allowing me to wait and see what all of you think of T2 before committing. If it seems that I have some need of what T2 offers by then, I really think the price seems fair enough (and by then, I'll probably be able to buy it significantly cheaper, especially since it's a boxed product that'll likely sell on eBay quite a bit below retail).

I *do* want the plugins.
Especially RM IV. (Couldn't afford it after buying the wonderful Albino 2.
)
I like it that T2 includes high quality plugins.
This bundle will help many poor musicians get on their feet and make music.
I'm sure the plugins will sell more T2, more RM IV. More revenue for RMS/Mackie and Linplug to enhance their products. That's a good thing.

I'll be getting the plug-ins. RM4 and Amplitube LE are both of great interest to me. But I'd have been interested regardless (lllllooooped recording for my guitar solos!).
[edit: oh yes, and I bought T1 a bit more than a year before the NFR]

I bought T1 in December 2003. And I'll be buying T2 WITH all the extras.
First of all, I DO have DR-008 and don't need RMIV, but will still look into using it for the kits.
I also already have Amplitube LE and Sampletank LE, but only for my Mac laptop. Buying T2 will get me another copy of these so I can share them. Amplitube LE, although limited, still has a pristine sound for and amp sim. And Sampletank LE comes with a decent sound set. Plus, free loops to use also.
Plus, for Slayer 2, I've also considered buying, even though I can play the guitar somewhat(slightly somewhat!). Slayer 2 can do some pretty good sounds.
The rest of the plugs are mostly free(if not ALL free), and I don't really care for them, since the ones I want I already have.
All in all, for me, there is alot of value to be had here. I'll be getting the whole thing. I just hope I can download the actual program.

On Topic: Bought T1, will buy T2, I am ambivalent about plugins as I suspect they will not be fully functional (like Final Mix) without additional paymeent. Some may be useful, some not.

I bought T1 but I am really not sure if I will get T2 - I'll give the demo a chance though. If it ain't more than $US120, the midi editing and audio routing are improved then maybe. The plugins are a big yawn though IMO.
It has to be a home run though as my money would be better spent on Kontakt 2 or Amplitube 2.
