NFR upgrade question.

I emailed Mackie about this, but haven't had an answer. And all the posts I've read have been mostly subjective.

To cut a long story short, I have an NFR copy of Tracktion, and I'm quite interested in T2.

1 - Will buying a T1 licence now be better value in terms of upgrading to T2, or is the upgrade the same for both T1 and NFR users? (must be different, as it would seriously annoy existing T1 users)

2 - If I buy T1, will my Mackie registration show both my new T1 and the old NFR version, or does it completely replace the NFR version I have.

Thanks.

[edit - on an odd note, I have never come across a host that made it so easy to switch between time signatures throughout a track! Obscure comment, I know, but I think we all get something marvellous out of Tracktion... :D ]

1. AFAIK yes, fully paid up T1 users get a discount of at least the price of T1. We don't know how much yet, but whatever it is I would be very suprised if NFR users got the same..

2. Don't know, but I guess you would end up with two T1 licences (ie: 4 machine numbers.) Anyone know for sure?

Just bought T1. :)

It seems that the registered T1 is listed seperately from the NFR version.

You will definately not go wrong with buying T1. It's been said by Beno, that he will take care of us.

And you will have four licenses. I am a paid user, and downloaded a NFR for curiosity sake(although I only use the ones I paid for.), and I have four licenses. So you will(should) get two more. But I'm not 100% sure for you, since I was a paid user first, and you are a NFR user first. But I assume it's the same.

Oops, sorry, I didn't read your post saying that you bought it now.

Well, welcome aboard from me too!
