ECHO Gina card.
Have been using ECHO products since 1995.
If you want low latencies this is the one.
(Audiophile 24/96 PCI card is great for low latencies as well but the DAC's are entry level)

Edirol UA-25 (getting mixed results with it - latency is good now, but I get some occasional noise in the recording)

Anybody else using this interface?

Legendary audiophile 24/96 and audiobuddy for pre (2 line/mic with phantom, independent ins). All from M-Audio. No complaints.

Yep. I've had good results with it so far. Can get 3.2ms for recording (low cpu load). Not had a problem with noise on the recordings.

Could the occasional noise be when you push the latency down too low?

I also use a focusrite octopre + RME mutliface

I don't like all-in-one, have it set up modular.

Midi input: Evolution mk149
next week an old phono mixer converted to faderbox thru the joystick port.
AD/DA: AudioTrak Maya1010 (8x line in/out, 2 ins can be mic input, 2 outs can be headphone)
Mixer: Mackie 1604 vlz pro (16x line or mic preamp w/phantom)
Comp: Focusrite Compounder

Can plug & route it all any way I like. Lately I skip the mixer a lot, plug in headphone and mic/guitar directly into the Maya1010. I always do recordings with an untreated signal, and apply EQ and compression later on. That way you have more flexibility (read: opportunity to correct wrong settings later)

I use an Edirol UA-20 with my old-faithful Celeron 1.06 laptop. It works fine down to about 10ms but I haven't wasted too much time trying to get it to go lower :?

The only real problem I had was finding the version 2 drivers for it, they were on the edirol.it site but not the .com last time I looked, because the ASIO was just plain broken with the drivers on the install disc.

I'm using the UA-25 with around 3ms latency. Sounds great without noise and less filling too!

SBLive Platinum with KX drivers on Win98SE, 256 MB RAM, Athlon 1.2 GHz processor

I think I might win the prize for the wimpiest setup running T. As you might guess, I have to render quite a bit, but I'm still in love with T.

This thread is quite helpful for my selection of my next PC and card.

Dunno, I think my Celeron 1.06 pips it... Mind you, that has XP Pro...

Still works a treat, though!

STAudio/ESI C-Port 2000

Been solid as a rock for the last couple of years. ESI(Egosys) took over ST Audio about a year ago. They released a set of new drivers a few months back and the thing works even better now!!! Been thinking about getting someting newer but do I really need to? I just bought Samplitude V8 and as long as I don't have any problems I think I'll be keeping it. Next upgrade be will probably be something from the RME Hammerfall family.
