cool note length management idea

Just had an idea, what if we could make notes such as bass that would be a certain length solid note, say going for an entire bar, and then highlight it or many notes, and say "slice all notes to 1/4ths" or something

A slice midi note tool in the midi editor would be nice & a velocity pen tool as well

what about note sliding? is that even possible? Like in old trackers you could slide notes, can we do that now?

well one idea the actually would be useful would be some kind of "reset pitch wheel data to zero at note beginnings".
