Final Mix sample-rate issue

I hadn't noticed this before as I'm forced to stick to 44.1KHz most of the time. However, in testing a SynthEdit EQ module I spotted this:

I stacked 3 bands of Final Mix EQ to produce a 45dB boost at 1.5KHz with a Q of 1, and ran a pink noise signal through it. At 44.1KHz it looks (as you would expect) like this:

However, identical settings at 96KHz look like this:

Anyone confirm?

I can only conclude that the coefficient calculation assumes a sample-rate of 44.1KHz :? I haven't tested the cross-over filters yet, but it makes me highly suspicious of those too.. I regard this as a fairly major problem!

Are you sure it's Final Mix with the problem, and not whatever your metering plugin is? It should be easy enough to test just by listening, as there's a greater than one octave difference in the peak.

edit- I just checked myself, and it seems you're right. :? Hopefully they will do something about this. I can't believe that nobody noticed this before.

It was the dramatically different sound that made me run the pink noise test (I was actually doing a listening test at the time, with a full mix)

The fft RTA is courtesy of Inspector: the same fft engine behind Firium AFAIK..

Interestingly, the cross-over filters seem ok:

96KHz:
