Automating effects

OK, so it's probably been asked a zillion times, but I'm lazy. basically, automating the bits and bobs on the soft synths themselves is pretty easy and simple to access, but I can't for the life of me work out how to automate any effects that I attach to the plugins.
Am I missing something really obvious?
Cheers,
Duncan

to automate any plugin parameter from Tracktion's automation lines, simply drag the small [A] (from the topright corner of ANY track) onto the filter you want to automate.
pick the parameter (fingers crossed the developer has made the names available), and then tweak the line!

Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Ah, cheers! Doesn't seem to work with the built in effects for some reason, but fortunately, works brilliantly with some of the other ones I have.
Thanks again!

The built in Tracktion logo ones. They don't seem to highlight when I pull the 'a' over them.Lunch Money wrote:Do you mean the built-in effects with the special Tracktion logo, or the bundled effects from MDA? I know some of the MDA effects seem to have some 'iffy' automataion options.
Not sure if that's mda's end of things, or Raw Materials'.

Still, it's no biggy - I have others, but it was just a bit weird, considering the rest did.
Cheers though.
