I've started an electronica / IDM radio station which has been running now for about half a year.

After registering and uploading your tunes, they will be enqueued into the playlist and played in random order (if you want to host a show... just pm me!).

Your tracks can be rated and can be protected from download if you don't want them to be downloaded.

The only condition is: the tracks can't be commercially available!

Don't seem to be able to listen to the station

It asks me if I want to open/save a .pls file

Do you need some special download to make it work, and more to the point shouldn't it be mentioned on the site?

If I'm a standard XP listener and it doesn't work I'd of thought you will be loosing most of your market.

Well you only need to have installed MS Media Player / Real Player or WinAmp (or iTunes for that matter). You just have to automatically open the .pls files with the player of your choice.

Do you not listen to any other ShoutCast streams? Can you tune in here? http://jungletrain.net ???

It should be quite straight forward... What happens if you open your player, click "Open URL" and enter the stream URL ( http://stream.thecause.ch:8000/listen.pls )?

Do you get an error message or something?

The radio plays almost everything... It's just that most of the tracks are currently in the Electronica (Ambient, Downbeat etc.) corner.

hmmm.... i just tried open in real player and it works.... guess its just crappy m$ windows media player.
