The people of Arturia are going to laugh their asses off after hearing the bad news themselves.
But first, the good about Minmonsta:
The lead patches are cool. I can cook some good hooks with them.
The bass patches are good (especially the first 2). I still had some knobs to turn to make those basses deep & funky.
With my host FLS, the CPU was no high than 30% (basses) & 10% (leads). This alone is minimonsta's advantage over minimoogV.
And now the bad news (brace yourselves!!!):
The bass patches in minimoogV are a lot deeper & heavier than minimonsta. Desprite my CPU hitting 30-50% in FLS or Standalone, minimoogV is the better choice for basses!
Using minimonsta for anything other than basses or leads are a joke. I cannot begin to tell all of you how playing triads almost had me hitting close to 100% on the CPU!
In conclusion, Arturia will not be losing any sleep over what the people of Gmedia are trying to do right now. But considering that I really like using the minimosta for leads, Gmedia deserve more time to fix all the bugs if they really want this synth to be sucessful.
As for my own music, minimoogV is still the champion.
