Hi all
Thought I would share my technique for creating presets for EVE
The way I am doing it this:
In Eve, I load the "BLANK.BNK" ( this is not an FXB, but is accessed in EVEs menu under "Bank")
I create a basic preset using the EVE samples. After loading in two samples:
1. Pitch bend =2
2. Turn on PTH mod for 2 of the voices. Set the rate to about the middle. Right clicking on the Amount, selecting MIDI learn and turning your mod wheel to get it going. This will make sure that all your patches can do vibrato with the Mod Wheel.
3.Create a basic Envelope for two voices.
4.Make sure each voice is set to MIDI channel 1 for two voices. Of course you can add the next voice if you want in your creation process. Having the other voice set to MIDI channel 2 will save CPU, so any voices you are not using..make sure there is a silence waveform, and set to another MIDI channel.
SAVE the patch as an FXP and name it Basic..or whatever.
Then whenever you go to create a patch, select the basic.FXP and you have a good deal of your settings already set.
I have been naming catagories with capitals: 3 letters which can include :
PAD ( pad sounds)
LED ( mono lead)
SYN ( poly synth)
KBD ( for keyboard type sounds; piano's organs, ect)
STG: strings
BAS: bass
SFX ( sound effect type of sound: non-concert pitch )
ATMO ( atmosphere: like SFX but has it's own character or ambience)
You can also make up other catogories as need.
Example: "PAD Brain Salads"
After I complete a patch, I rename it with an above catagory, then save the whole thing as FXB: ex: TC_EVE_1.FXB.
I also go to "Save presets" in the EVE menu, and "save as factory". This will save the bank in EVE format. I do this after creating each patch. This makes sure your work is saved in two formats.
Then I go to the next (empty) slot in the bank, load my FXP, and start the whole creation process again. Save the FXB ( same file name of course) and "Save Presets" in the EVE menu, and keep on going untill the bank is completed.
Once completed, I go to the EVE main directory on my Hard drive, and copy the EVE.BNK to the desktop. Rename it to TC_EVE_1.bnk ( or whatever) and then copy it to the EVE bank directory.
There it is!!

thanks a ton Tim!
guys let's share some presets you made on your own, no? <grin>
just send them to me and I'll post a link for everybody, just tell me which libraries are needed
for you bank: Default, A0S, HQS1, or HQS2,
or if the bank is only for the CM EVE which has less
SoundSets, so users will know if they can load that bank
