how about a broken cable?

Also, not strictly speaking a lo-fi effect, but Sicklecell's Grudge ensemble for Reaktor has been doing most lo-fi tasking these days.

Izotope's Vinyl is also rather nice for dirtying up audio.

Any equalizer could do the job for me (except bit-crushing):D I also like Vinyl and e-phonic LoFi.

I like both Cynamide and Lofi, but my favorite has to be Sonic Destructor in the TC Native bundle. If you like nasty lofi, fuzz and distortion effects then this thing is choice.

Favourite fuzz or distortion: SH-1 Fuzz (doesn't look like its available anymore), Saro
