Still a few things need to be done.
Mainly the skin and one more Fx.
Then all the website stuff ect.
So the amp will not be ready for Christmas,
but somewhere in the 1st 3 month of 2005
Sorry for the delays.
Thanks for all your support !

So, here is the first sneak preview of the amp !
The placements of the knobs and buttons are not final and not complet yet.
The lower part shows the foot plate opened,
this is where the effect knobs and buttons will be.
If they are not needed they will be covered by a solid metal plate.
You can tweak the amp if you want to,
if not, just leave the plate closed and rock !!!
Oh ya, the size of the picture is quite reduced.
I would not give you such small knobs,
for such a big sound.

Looks great!
Can you give us already an idea about its price?

Wow!
Not much chrome on this GUI but very good looking. I presume in reality all labels aren't as fuzzy as they show on this picture, and I really wonder what that curtain will do
Maybe the markers on the knobs could stand out a bit more, but that might also be the jpg compression on this particular picture.
Are you sure it's a metal plate at the bottom. I could swear that lovely texture is genuine human skin. Great for truly evil sound!

When can we hear it? And not to nitpick, do you need all that blank space around the amp in the GUI?
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

I don't think that's actually part of the gui - it's not a simple screenshotFunkybot wrote:When can we hear it? And not to nitpick, do you need all that blank space around the amp in the GUI?

Agreed-- I'm sure the curtains and floor are just there for effect in the 'sneak preview', not the final version.
I like it but I don't love it. A full-sized screenshot would help, but my initial reaction is that it seems very cold, which will suit the 'metal' amp vibes, but not the lower-gain sounds.
At the end of the day, though, it's not all about the GUI, but about the sound. A nice GUI helps (in my opinion), but if it's got a great sound I'd consider purchase with even host GUI.
I hope price is reasonable, because with Amplitube 2 coming out and its bazillions of options, this will need to be either something extremely special, or be a good value-for-money in order to compete.

There will be not much blank space I am afraid.Funkybot wrote:When can we hear it? And not to nitpick, do you need all that blank space around the amp in the GUI?
Even 2 or 3 plates full of fx controls...
The sound link is up since quite a long time:

Sorry Greg, I could'nt resist.
Just trust your ears and not that Amplitube2 hype of
20.000 amp combinations.
(from AT2 topic)
Who would need or use those anyway ?Squids wrote:...with 20,000 amps and all of the other features I think it should be double the price. Maybe after reading your post I will request that it is raised to $799
What price is reasonable ? $499 ?
Surely not !
I wanted a strait forward user interface for guitar players, not for astronauts.
Tweak a few knobs and get the sound you want.
Then concentrate on whats it all about,
to play some great sounding music !
