As a VSTi developer, I use MiniHost daily to test plugins quickly. I love it and TobyBear is doing an awesome job supporting it!

The only thing I wish it had is audio-in so I could test audio-jamming with Jamstix....... ( to Toby)

What exactly is the problem with SAVIHost and Kubik?

Just tried it for the first time. I must say I like it a lot...

But...

It doesn't like Cheeze Machine. It crashed every time I tried to load it.

I agree with other comments about it being a great tool for testing VSTs and patch management.

Nice one Toybear.

anybody else get dead notes?
about 1 out of 5 (piano)keyboard strikes dont trigger sound for me.
I think its great that this software is being developed, but thus far i've had much more reliable results w/ traktion NFSR and Hermann's VSThost.
Ideas are bulletproof... I am not.

Kubik's release doesn't work properly so as soon as you stop pressing a key the sound cuts off suddenly instead of fading out naturally.

I've just tested this again with the latest versions of both apps ( as Kubik has just had an update) but the problem is still there. Paradoxically Kubik works very well in Minihost.

also nice in combination with MultiFXVST.

Next version of MH should improve compatibility with lots of plugins from Native Instruments, Big Tick, ConcreteFX, ...

Excellent!

I use use MiniHost even more than I use Cubase. I just had to send some money, too. :)

Many thanks, Toby!

Cheese Machine works for me with no problems! And if some keys don't respond on the computer keyboard then check the 'Midi' menu then 'Computer Keyboard' and 'Keyboard Layout', Make sure you have the correct keyboard setting, 'QWERTY' works for me!
It would be a truly great piece of software if i could get my Midi keyboard to play the synths, instead of having to plonk about on my computer keyboard! :(

Post
