Is this still the cat-purring-like very soft sound, when your screen gets updated or the PC is busy otherwise? And you have a Creative Live or Audigy or maybe builtin soundcard on the motherboard? Then it is so-called IR interference and you need to buy a proper sound card.

What does this hiss sound like? I'm killing myself trying to figure out why Tracktion isn't working on my new install of 98SE, with all the newest drivers. All I get on playback is awful skipping/digital distortion noises ruining my crap singing!
I installed some other software just to see if my Delta 44 had died but it really is just happening in Tracktion.
It's the 1.6 NFR version, and I have a key I downloaded to my old install, the key unlocked Tracktion ok but is my new hard drive confusing it (or me)???

Thats not the hiss he's talking about. Have you anabled DMA for your hard drives? Are you running the latency too low?noisedude wrote:What does this hiss sound like?
