this would be a great feature i guess ?

i'll try to explain the idea. rightklick on a vst-plugin filter-icon (the ones on the tracks) gives the ability to choose at least one parameter to be shown and control on the icon itself (like the volume/pan fader). imagin the senderella plugin. i choose the amount-parameter to be shown on the icon so i directly see all the send and return levels of senderella. better if more than one parameter can be controlled over the icon (imagin your favorite EQ-plugin shows its 4 frequenzy and q settings (ok, would be a little less space for 8 parameters but maby it's just a smal-vertikal line)

what do you think ?

that is an absolutely excellent idea, and i'm very surprised to only see it now. i imagine similar ideas have come about before, i know there have been discussions about the filter icon (about having an sdk to be able to code plugins specifically with a control on the filter) but it was said that it was a T specific thing, not related particularly to the filters.

i'm sure it's possible that T would be capable of having a control on the filter that could be assigned to a parameter.

an excellent idea, i hope jules/beno->jules is listenning!
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Doesnt Live have this, with x/y cross faders?

Would be nice, yes.

Nice idea! Would be great to not limit the number of controllable parameters. Simply the filter grows in its width as you add parameters. Actually the filters in a row are equally spaced to fill the whole filters area. I personally would prefer a fixed (or manually strechable) width for a filter. Such as a filter with 0 or 1 added parameter has a width of (say) 40 px, a filter with 2 parameters is 50 px large, with 3 is 60px, and so on... This way the filters area would look less like a mess, imo! The problem with fixed width filters is that if you add too many, the filters area needs to enlarge to let them all the visible. This shouldn't be a problem in T2 since its hideable filters panel.

Yeah, I really like this idea too. I wouldn't expect it soon but I added it to our internal list of things to think about for upcoming versions.
Thanks,
