fgrittner wrote:Ah, now I get it--Nick Phoenix--Colossus--the SR new product is a GM set on steroids plus other goodies for songwriters and performers. But it is not the 32 GB monster that Colossus adds up to (disk streaming allows that size I guess.)

Sounds cool.
Bravo Fred! Well done. When I said bird I meant Phoenix and when I said Compass I meant East/West. But, of course this was an idea we had long before that product ever existed. It is, in fact, OmniSoundz 2! Over 2 gigs in all of those formats. Each sound is a bit larger with either more samples across the keyboard or more velocity switches. But, there are a few unique aspects to it beyond that. I will tell you more very soon but it is a great all around meat & potatoes set for anyone to have. OmniSoundz, OmniSynth, Sonik Synth 2 and Sonic Station users will all be able to get it for less (and maybe even less than less if we do a group buy or have a promo intro offer on www.esoundz.com ). So far this is an exclusive esoundz.com product. It will be ready some time this month or next month at the latest. No official announcement yet but you heard it (or guessed it) here first.

Price is more than Omni 1 (which is still available as a lighter option) and much less than the Kalawsis. ;)

I should have mentioned this as a prize before but Fred you win a free copy. Congrats and thanks for playing! The person who first guessed it was a GM set gets second prize which is half off (if you want it of course).

Was it a fun game?

Congrats fgrittner!

Good stuff Squids!
Looks like I may be able to retire Omni 1 for Omni 2 then.

Cool !!! Congrads Fred,,,

This will be a fun one to have.

Hey Squids, when you say Project 5 is one of the formats, are you talking about Dimension or the DS864 sampler?

Post

Multi-format is cool.
I think Kontakt is one of those formats and that exposes the waves right?

That means I could easily remap for WusikEngine and have fun.

Not for redistribution of course!!!!

WOW! Thanks, Squids. I just was just in it for solving the puzzle so this is a very big suprise and bonus.

I think I have bought just about all your disks over the past 8-9 years, so I know it will be stellar.

Thanks again for the August surprise.

Dimension and SFZ! We're actually big fans of Rene's work. Not a lot of people know that Sonic Reality contributed sounds to the Dimension factory sound set. So, this seemed like a good library to support as many formats as possible including Project 5 users who tend to be very friendly as well. We want to show support for them and this is diverse to get started.

You're welcome and it's good to see you. We have some stuff in the works that is going to knock you out by the way. I know it. But, I can't mention just yet. Be prepared for a Sonic Reality EXPLOSION of products in the next couple of months. Drums galore for one thing.

:D

Congratulations, Squids! I think I just became a Sonic Reality / eSoundz fan :-o can't wait to hear more about this new library - half off is quite a deal!

I feel like an idiot, I looked up "phoenix" and found the east/west thing.....but thought......"naaa" for some dumb reason.

Sound cool though........and nicely done with the clues :D

Since we have a real build up of sample library products coming out I will try to do this more and more. It's actually more fun than just sending out a press release which we'll do anyway at some point. But, being around our company forum has some benefits.

Oh and it is typical of me to make something a contest and not even tell you guys until after. But, I didn't even know this was going to turn into a fun little game. However, that's one of the great things KVR is for. All of these developers here and talk about the latest software and sounds... why not have a little fun?

On the drums... yeah, well remember we announced a massive drum library 2 years ago now. Imagine how much more we've sampled since then as well! I am talking about both hits and loops for multiple libraries here. Honestly some of this stuff is so amazingly fun to play with that I am blown away. Cool concepts too. IMap 2 but also other things that have never been done before. You'll see. We've got a really great plan. The only thing that makes me hesitate to talk too much about it here though is that I know a lot of people here are on a limited budget. So, believe me, I don't want to torture you with thousands of dollars of products to choose from that all may be enticing. But, I have no choice. It's what we do. We specialize in sampling EVERYTHING and it just takes a while to get these projects done... years sometimes. But, we also have a lot of pros that make good money in their music from our stuff (and aspiring semi-pros as well). So, for those that can afford it all we've got an unbelievable lineup of products and downloadable sounds coming. Be prepared. For those that have to pick and choose for their budget... well, all we can say is that the more you want to get the better we will try to do so you can squeeze as many of them in.

By the way, we are working out some more rewards for gold and platinum members of www.esoundz.com one of them may be a certain amount of free epointz per month to use toward purchases or downloads. What do you think?

Post

I had been thinking that something along the lines of "one/two free esoundz downloads per month/week/couple-of-months" type of thing would be really cool for gold/platinum members, respectively.

Now that's what I call a benefit! Personally, I could see massive amounts of people becoming platinum members just because they are greedy for the downloadable sounds - if it's really a substantial amount per month (like a subscripition service, with the added value that you get into the service just by buying other products!)
