Beta Tester,
could you please check if we it is now possible to select a portion of an automation line,
and just drag it down, in one move without changing the tool,
(in the same way that we can do this in Ableton or Logic, etc ...)
(and without the need to cut this portion of audio)
Thank you

nope, not yet. there are a few ways to get almost near that feature but none come close. i really miss being able to shift-drag automation points over existing ones to delete them as well. but bitwig does a lot Live can't. pros and cons to each daw...

I keep waiting for a beta that I'll be allowed to participate in and it keeps not happening, despite the fact that I'm support to be in the private beta team.
Guess I should have spoken up at some point in the last six months or something. I guess my interest in Bitwig dwindled after realizing just how many crucial features Bitwig lacks - track grouping being chief among them.

Don't whine, people! Bitwig Team is so you small that one needs a miscroscope to detect it!

Have you ever noticed that if you scroll through the devices using this method that if your mouse pointer crosses paths with an EQ node, it will change the nodes Q? I know this is a feature of the EQ to quickly change the Q with a mouse wheel, but it would be nice if these two features didn't "collide."
It happens to me seldom when using a two finger gesture to scroll with a trackpad too.

This is a bug if it happens to you and you should report it.WXLF wrote:Have you ever noticed that if you scroll through the devices using this method that if your mouse pointer crosses paths with an EQ node, it will change the nodes Q? In ui, when you are scrolling the parent device chain panel, the scroll events are being dispatched, if a child is picking them up(the eq in this case), the parent should be canceling them or not bubbling them at all.
It's a bug.

The beta has been going on for 2 months. Why haven't you contacted Bitwig about this? If you feel you should be beta testing because of something said in the past, tell them that and see what they say, be direct.trappar wrote:I keep waiting for a beta that I'll be allowed to participate in and it keeps not happening, despite the fact that I'm support to be in the private beta team.

also happens when scrolling hits the drum machine device's pad chooser thingum.

So should we not ask for it before the end of the beta ?
Every single Bitwig user I know complain about this ...
When I just want to "mute" a part of audio using the automation,
or if I want to manually follow the levels of a recording,
it is a real pain to create all those useless automation points ...
I just want to SELECT, and DRAG DOWN or UP the automation line ...
It Seems to me the only "natural" way to do it ...

I ask this very cautious...
But i read somewhere that the browser and API is improved or more open....
My question:
I seen the video with claes that he is hot swap samples in the sampler/drummaschine...
Is it possible that i can select the samples with a twist/turn of a knob now? (in my case push)
But i read somewhere that the browser and API is improved or more open....

Thanks for clarifying, Mike. Will do.TeotiGraphix wrote: This is a bug if it happens to you and you should report it.

It's doing it for me as well, on the drum machine. I'll mention that too in the report.garyboozy wrote: yea, heh... i reported this way back in september 2013 in the pre-release beta

Should be, the API allows basically what you see in the dynamic browser, so get excited for that.codec17 wrote:I ask this very cautious...![]()

So the Push will display a list just as it did when you could scroll through presets. But it will be a drill down, where you select category, creator etc., then the remaining list filtered is your samples/devices/presets etc.

Oh man i can see myself reorganize my sample maps on hd already...
select CAT: snare BAM.. scroll for it.. . CAT: kicks BAM...
For me it will make music so much easier, but also funny, because you select samples wich you never would try when drag and drop! (nah... that,s not gonna work kinda thing
Now push is really gonna be my cockpit...
Edit: the thing i was jealous about from maschine....
