Bitwig Studio 1.2 BETA 4

Hello everybody,

the 4th beta version of Bitwig Studio 1.2 is online. Here is the list of changes:

FIXED - Alsa backend hangs engine when connecting using default device on Ubuntu if pulse audio has the device open.
FIXED - Send amount is not getting saved in metaclips (scenes) when you save it together with FX track and routing.
FIXED - VSTs that come in different versions are not distinguishable in popup browser.
FIXED - The same shortcut can be added multiple times to a single action and application would crash when deleting the shortcut mappings.
FIXED - Deleting or installing a VST while app is running does not cause the preset browser to update with the change.
FIXED - Potential crash when no insertion layer is selected in layered note editor.
FIXED - Occassional crash when invoking rename command for a clip inside a nested track group on the clip launcher.
FIXED - Renaming a track in the inspector creates an undo step for every single character entered.
FIXED - Renaming a device does not create an undo step.
FIXED - It was possible to create a feedback loop by moving a VST Instrument from a group track onto one of its child tracks, if the child track's output was routed to the VST as MIDI.
FIXED - Engine crashes when connecting to document when a scene file is selected in the browser.
FIXED - I/O choosers in audio preferences don't update when a device disconnects.
FIXED - Icons for file types do not show up in file manager after installing Bitwig Studio on Ubuntu .
FIXED - Application icon no longer shows for Bitwig Studio on Ubuntu.
FIXED - Track gets created in wrong track group when navigating into a group.
FIXED - Crash when grouping track, going inside and the undoing the grouping.
FIXED - Connecting Arturia BeatStep Pro breaks listing of connected MIDI controllers on OSX.
IMPROVED - Add default template feature to the preferences.
IMPROVED - Templates do not apply configured mixer view settings.
IMPROVED - The user can tell Bitwig Studio to forget about deleted projects in the recent document list.
IMPROVED - Remember the next track color.
IMPROVED - Shift + Click on the meter's peak value resets all the meter's peak values.

Popup browser for tracks is a nice, logical step. Next logical step would be to add track templates. Maybe for a later version though.

I forgot to add, Device plus as well.

You can also select samples from the browser and it inserts a Sampler.

amazing how such a small thing (the track "+") can make such a positive difference.

it's actually even better in that you don't need to even click the + but can also double click anywhere on the black space. (i've been requesting that one for a long time hehe)
