I think the original skin is fine...poonna wrote:Now that 2.2 is released, an officially updated Unempty Darkhorse skin would be a great supplement.

How's this going, Urs? Is this nifty little feature still on the cards?Urs wrote:Great! You already got the new Zebra2.txt (with larger module preset browser and Portamento renamed)
Good work!
I have btw. pretty much worked out a way to switch between skins (and have skin saved with song). I think it's gonna be possible in a couple of weeks...

Yes, but it's some major coding... I think I first have to update everything else before I can start on stuff like that...auricle wrote:How's this going, Urs? Does the Unempty Dark Horse skin now work okay with 2.2?

need a definitive answer.... if possible... (and with many thanks to everyone who has learned, provided and guided us through the fog...
Can I just take the Dark Horse skin files that I've been using, and simply replace the default 2.2 files? My previous version of Z2 works a treat with the DH skin... and I'm hooked, so....
Is it just drop-and-go, or are there enough issues to give pause? Any special caveats? I'm clearly confused on the matter...
Thank you all again....

Possible issues would be that some panes don't remember where they were before you closed the gui or that some parameters have longer names.

I think the orginal skin is good. But the knobs and buttons are to dark.Sometimes the pane has the same colour. For example: The save button on the top and the arrows for preset browsing are hard to find on my screen.

The old one seems to work fine with 2.2 here.
If there's a problem, I haven't seen it...

This skin is working perfectly well here with 2.2.
And I'd also like to say that it's an absolutely beautiful skin and thanks for sharing!
Urs, you should use this as the default skin! (If that's ok with the creator).
Nothing against your default one. It's just that the distinct look of the modules in the dark horse version actually really helps with it's usability and visual separation of the elements.
cheers

I am trying to use it with Z2.2.1b3... I don't (for obvious reasons) see the patch info and other buttons. Is there any way to make this skin work FULLY with the latest Z2 beta?bagginz wrote:The old one seems to work fine with 2.2 here.

I will however provide an update - including teh ability to directly switch between default gui and Dark Horse
(I just don't know when... I'm extremely busy because Musikmesse starts next week)
