Import Samples to create own Wavetables like PPG or Microwave.
How exactly do they do it?

If someone help me out on that, I will add drag-n-drop wavetable creation.

Do they import just a sample file that contains, let's say, 16 single cycles ?
Hi bulent,

it's very difficult for me to say how it works.
I have a little programm. it create Wavetables for terratec komplexer but i can't tell you how it works but i can give you these little programm. It create from one sample 128 Waves in WT-Format.

kind regards

If it's a freeware/demo utility I'd like to take a look at it.

I actually have some ideas on generating single cycles from samples. But probably I'll have to skip this to further versions...

Nice to read that. Thanks Bulent. :)

Can you implement an octave switch in SM2?

For?

Layers have pitch parameter for each layer, that might help.

I Mean the same Function as in Additive-Mode. Change 12 Semitones with one Click.

Hey there
Bulent, can you add a "time scale" switch to the envelopes, please? The envelopes now are too "fast" for my taste, and I find mseg to be a little hard on simple tasks
Thanks!

One thing that I always wanted to have in a synth was something to morph between presets automatically. Something like Minimonsta where a certain note on the keyboard (way at the low end) could make it go to the other preset, and it blends into that other preset.

Might be a pipedream, but thought I would mention it. Seems like SM already does just about everything else anyway. 8)

Hello,

I recently purchased SynthMaster and I'm impressed by sound editing features, GUI, browser, low CPU usage and amazing presets. As newbie, first I've begun tests installed presets and those available online. Online browser show all available presets, also those installed with SynthMaster. It hinder a bit searching new (online) presets, because SynhMaster installer come with hundreds presets. What do you think about add a filtering solution for online presets? I suggest two example solution:

- Add filter feature to online browser. When user use filter, browser shows only not installed (not available locally) presets.
- Online browser use highlighted fonts (e.g. italic or bold) for focusing not installed (not available locally) presets.

Filtering features should simply compare preset database in both browsers (local, online) and display difference (but only in one way, that is presets not avilable in local browser).
I think this feature could really facilitate online browsing.

Janusz

Hi Janusz,

I was actually thinking to provide online presets as a single preset bank file for registered users, which will come with the installer. How about that?
(this'll happen hopefuly tonight by the way!)

Thank you for very fast reply... Are you always online? :D

Thx. This is comfortable solution for users, but I fear it could cause additional work for you in future. For example, you'll publish today preset bank, but tomorrow an user will upload great presets, so you need prepare next bank, etc. By the other hand, officially released bank "signed" by KV331 could assure users high quality of presets.

Best,
Janusz

I haven't found a way to do it, so it would be pretty cool: I'd like to be able to modulate the modulation depth in the mod matrix, either by having a "via" parameter (think: modulate layer 1, filter 1 cutoff by ADSR env 1 via modwheel, so that the mod wheel defines how much the envelope modulates the mod wheel) or as proper modulation targets (target: mod depth 1-64). Alchemy can do it for example.

I know that there are e.g. the Envelope Amount and LFO Volume controls, but I'm suggesting a more general concept.

I don't know whether this has been suggested, or how transferable your code is or whether you'd even see it as worth the time, but I'd love to be able to use Synthmaster natively in Linux.

Hm, how about this one - multiple columned dropdown menus ! As it is now it is annoying navigating waveforms, at the very least could you make the speed of scrolling down faster? Thanks!

Oh yeah, also, if you could increase the limit on the number of wavetables, to somewhere around infinity :D , I would love you (I think I've already said this before though).

I don't really care much about the next idea I'm offering, but I thought I might say it anyways since it sounds easy to implement.

A 'random' feature on a separate tab (perhaps placed next to settings), where the user ticks or selects from a list of randomisable parameters (since not every parameter is desirable to be randomised, nor can every paremeter be randomised practically), before clicking the 'randomise' button. With 'select all' 'select none' buttons as well as the ability to save presets, this could add to the power of SM.

Like I said, I don't really care about that feature since fixes are better and more priority to them and I'm not even certain about how SM is written, but I thought the idea was worth a mention.

Thanks for reading !
