Looks cool, but I lose sound in reaper when I open this software. Anyone else?

You probably have ASIO selected on both programs. You need to either use something like Jack to route the program's outputs to one device or choose a non-ASIO-driver for sononym. Since you're only listening to samples, realtime should not be an issue.

Most ASIO drivers are multi-client these days. They have no issues with two applications using them.

ASIO4ALL and drivers derived from it are a different thing, and basically wrappers around WDM (likely using Exclusive Mode for lowest possible latency).

I’m demoing Sononym at the moment and it doesn’t seem like there’s a way to drag and drop samples into Reaper. Anyone else have this problem?

Where exactly are you dragging from? I’ve tried everything.

I am dragging from the search results list (marked (8) in the manual here) straight into Reaper's timeline. The feature is also documented there.

Strange that it doesn't work for you. Can you drag from Sononym to another folder or app?

Yea I can drag out of sononym to the desktop or to a folder. Never had any problems drag/dripping from other programs.

Ok, that's even weirder because it means dragging out of Sononym works, but for some reason Reaper doesn't "receive" the file. And dragging files into Reaper from other sources works?

Yes other programs work just fine with drag/dropping into Reaper.
Someone suggested it might be a demo limitation but I’m pretty sure the website says fully functional demo for 30 days. Either way I contacted supported so hopefully I’ll hear back soon

Yeah, if it were a demo limitation why should it be specific to Reaper? Good luck, I hope they can help!

Are you running one or the other as Administrator? If the source and destination are different accounts they won't be able to access the drag and drop functionality.

Thank you so much!!! That was it. I was running Reaper as administrator but not Sononym. Now all is good. Thanks again!!

Cool, glad to hear Apple Silicon support is happening soon in minor update. Not sure of the logic in 25% off promo so close to Black Friday/Cyber Monday when they usually do a 50% off sale but who knows? I’ll pick it up on Cyber Monday.
