I've been testing Glitch 1.2.2 beta and it seems to work fine. Seems to sync up properly and everything. Funny effect. I didn't see this in the lists.

Further testing shows that Receptor Remote isn't passing the right-click to the program. I've ask the developer for support but it might be Receptor's Remote. I have no way of testing it with a monitor hooked directly to the Receptor and only have the Mac version of Receptor. Maybe the Windows version works?CrownRoyal wrote:I've been testing Glitch 1.2.2 beta and it seems to work fine. Seems to sync up properly and everything. Funny effect. I didn't see this in the lists.
Hmmm... I've got Virtual PC, I'll test that.

The windows version of Receptor Remote does appear to be passing the right-clicks on just fine. I used z3ta+ as a test. I have found that left-clicking on the current patch advances it one, while right-clicking goes back one. Same behavior on Receptor Remote. Hope this helps!CrownRoyal wrote: Further testing shows that Receptor Remote isn't passing the right-click to the program. I've ask the developer for support but it might be Receptor's Remote. On the Mac, right click is usually the same as control-click. When you start Receptor Remote, or if you choose File>New Session (command-N), you get a dialog with a popup that says "Choose a Receptor." In the lower left corner there is a disclosure triangle. If you click on the triangle you will see a bunch of options for the session.
In the lower left side of the options you will see that you can change the behavior of the middle and right mouse buttons. Unfortunately, the only options are shift-click, control-click, option-click, command-click, or nothing. These options are not available on Windows.
Receptor Remote is based on an open source Mac application name "VNCThing" We added the popup that automatically finds your Receptor(s) and fixed a couple of bugs, but we kept most of the original features unchanged.
I'll file a bug report and we will fix it in a future update.

Cameleon 5000 (v1.6) works fine, although you can't enter your registration details directly on Receptor as this causes it to lock up (requiring a hard reboot). So, you must register Cameleon 5000 in your PC first and then copy the CA5000Config.txt file over to your Receptor.

I don't even get to the registration part. It failed when I try to install it. I've tried moving that file over, too.Ben [KVR] wrote:Cameleon 5000 (v1.6) works fine, although you can't enter your registration details directly on Receptor as this causes it to lock up (requiring a hard reboot). I also tried the demo of Rhino 2. That rebooted my machine but installed. Then when I tried to load it, it popped up a dialog saying that I can't save because of the demo and then asked me where the rhino.db file was. I located it and it seems to load but the GUI was scrambled up. The second I touched it, the receptor rebooted. I removed it from my receptor.
Is there a .xml that someone could share for the Cameleon? I'd be a happy camper if I could get it to work. TC is having the same trouble.
Thanks in advance!

I tried all the shift-click, command-click, option-click stuff and it didn't work. I'll try that little hidden feature you mentioned. That might do it.DanTimis wrote:On the Mac, right click is usually the same as control-click. The Remote just doesn't pass the info to the app. in the Mac version.

I was trying to explain the differences between the Mac and PC. I was not telling how to make it work, because it does not work period.CrownRoyal wrote:I tried all the shift-click, command-click, option-click stuff and it didn't work. The Remote just doesn't pass the info to the app. in the Mac version.
In Windows, a right click is a "right click", it is not a combination of a modifier key (shift, control, option, command) and a left click.
The Mac comes with a one button mouse. You can buy a third party mouse that has a right button, but when you write Mac software you have to assume that many of your customers might have a one button mouse. So most Mac software uses simple-click, shift-click, control-click, and so on; those can be achieved with a one button mouse.
If you use a two or three button mouse on the Mac, most of the time the right click is translated into control-click. Receptor Remote is based on a Mac program called VNCThing. VNCThing was written with the Macintosh look and feel and as a result the right click is always tranlated into a left click plus modifier key combination, or ignored. The right click is never passed along to Receptor as a pure "right-click"
The fix is not trivial. It is on our list, with medium priority. So a fix will not be available in the very near future.
