DIVA ROCKS!!!

Not had a chance to really get stuck into it yet but being noodling around on it the last two nights and it puts all the other virtual instruments I have to shame (I think it's making them a bit jealous too). The filters are just amazing, up to now my favourate filters would have been the ones on Trilian but I think I'm liking DIVA's ones slightly more. Looking forward to finishing work today to get back to her

My CPU seems to be handling it ok too, I expected it to be a bit more intense. Have an i7 quad core 2.8MHz iMac and on the 'Divine' setting any more than 4 or 5 keys and the audio cuts out. Can play about 10 or more keys on the next highest setting before it cuts out.

The moment this comes on sale (today?) I'll be purchasing.

Frankly, I expected the cpu hit to be somewhat higher than I've been experiencing. I'm still using a lowly Athlon 64 4000+ proc (2.4Ghz single core) and I'm able to play 3-4 notes before it maxes out. I didn't really think it would be playable at all on my system, so that's a plus.

The black looks nice but makes it too uniform to these eyes (no contrast across the whole GUI)... also I'm worried I might get confused with Diva and Alchemy Dark Skin!

I saw that video in the Sonic State news feed announcement by Diva and thought "Oh boy, a Howard video!" and then saw...that. I too was very disappointed. It's just a boring pluck with a cutoff and amp env modulation. I guess all we can do is not like the video...

Ack. That was awful, but they choked all the goodness. Needs to be buried by decent demos.
