I log directly into the Custom Shop desktop app. It deals only in 'Credits' - I have 20.

I log into the IKM website account/store. It deals only in 'Jam Points' - I have 33 Euro worth.

Where/how can I combine these? What a strange system.
Custom Shop does not only deal in Gear Credits. The $/€ should also be clearly displayed for Saturator X there. You can also use JamPoints toward Gear Credits in Custom Shop if you decide to use them (as in my previous example that was a slight revision/simplification of cprompt's steps).

The reason you can't apply JamPoints if you already have Gear Credits is that would be stacking a discount - you use JamPoints to discount the Gear Credit purchase at the time you purchase them. Once you have them, you spend them, sometimes at great savings due to things like JamPoints being used when you purchased them, the free Gear Credits we gave out recently, etc.

Hope that helps. If you need further information, we have a page full of information about JamPoints at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/jampoints/ and a section in the Custom Shop help area that is called "Gear Credits: the Currency of the Custom Shop" which may also clarify things further for those experiencing confusion. Thank you.

Custom Shop is opening to a blank black screen now anyway - even with a full computer restart. So I guess it ate itself, ohwell.

Peter: Can you install a newer version of Custom Shop straight over the top of the existing one, or do I need to do a full uninstall first?
There is sometimes a very brief site/Custom Shop maintenance around 1AM EST or thereabouts.

To update Custom Shop, download the newest version of T-RackS Custom Shop (or follow the "Update" link/button you are prompted with in Custom Shop if you try to purchase new gear that isn't supported in the version installed) and install that. It will update T-RackS and the Custom Shop application itself. No need to uninstall anything.

Nothing special in my book.

For me quite unusable too, due to being singleband only...

EDIT: This mofo could use a HPF sidechain and a mix knob!

I was correct - these are not the same algos from those processors. However, the experience in analysis and modeling we got from past modules such as the EQ 73 and EQ 81 certainly influenced and payed off in producing the technology behind modules like the Saturator X.

In context of these transformer models and other posts above, note that in the EQ 73 and EQ 81 we modeled the ENTIRE circuit including the input and output transformers, while in Saturator X we are modeling the behavior of the sole transformer component, which is not having any interactions with other parts of the circuit (since that is not part of this processor/model).

Transformers, by nature, have very little if any distortion, and only at very low frequencies, but their effect on the signal can be heard nonetheless, especially when pushed, so it’s not a surprise that the two transformer modes don’t offer that same “in your face” saturation as tubes or transistors.
They are supposed to add a slight color, even though when used in conjunction with the brickwall limiter they can be pushed to extremes to get some nice “pumping” effect (like the in the Brickwall Pump preset we created for that very purpose).

I'm at the point of purchasing but there's something i don't understand.

In the Custom Store it costs 80 credits. I have 30 credits. If i buy 50 more credits it costs me €50. Then with 80 total i should be able to purchase correct?

If i log in the website i have 29 jampoints, but i can only use them for a maximum 30% discount. The remaining price then comes to €55 + something.

If i buy the 50 credits in the Custom Store, will i be able to use all my remaing credits to get to 80? Or is there also a maximum discount?

Are Credits and Jampoints the same?

Fixed!
I purchased Credits on the website, using Jampoints, costed me €35,- :) :)

Glad you got it sorted! For anybody else who may have missed previous posts about it, hopefully this one clarifies it: viewtopic.php?p=6466190#p6466190

You can use Jampoints to buy Credits?

OK now that connects the dots. Thanks for the heads up!

Their take on Slate VCC/sonimus satson/Waves NLS in other words.
This! :hyper:

They've missed the opportunity with the CALREC console years ago. Who really needs another SSL or NEVE?

I'm a little late for the party...

But I like the sound of it in the vid. So I'll try a demo... Initially I was going to say that it was a little pricey at 80e, but it does offer quite a few different algos in its defense.

I've a lot of saturation plugins, so this would be a nice to have rather then an absolute must. But only a test drive will tell.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Wow, what a great sounding saturator. On busses, even the master, it can blow up mixes very nice.
The low's get big, mid's get thickened and the highs don't crumble.

IKM, can you please add a Mix knob?
This plugin could benefit from that.

Also, any chance of a Bias knob for the Tape?
