because it can do much much more. Once you get passed its small and cluttered GUI it's an amazing synth for odd noises and weird shit.

it's also a wavetable synth, a VA synth, a basic sampler only with timestretching built into each sample, etc.

The filters can by swept through the different filters too, so a sound can start off with a low pass and sweep to a high pass.

here's one sound I quickly just knocked up on crx4 with its time stretching :

You first have to go to this list of the $19 plugins. Each plugin there has an individual link that takes you to ShareIt for just that particular product..

https://www.facebook.com/LinPlug/posts/1576696712611495

When you click the individual link to the product you want to buy, it puts the item directly into the cart, ready to buy.

@BlackWinny: there is a Facebook overlay on that page that pops up when you click the link shown above, which might be what you clicked on that would take you to a Facebook login page. When you click the link here (in my post), that FB login overlay will come up, so just click outside of it on the actual page that has the list of the plugins.

Use some better browser instead of ancient Firefox working in text mode only

I tried the very same Firefox (version 53.0.3) and it displays the links, even when I'm not registered at fb.
There is a popup hovering above them (asking to login/register), but when I dismiss it it goes to the bottom of the screen and I can see and use all the links.

I thought it might be because he's got Javascript switched off and no cookies – but it loads with those settings (in a normal browser).

It's a major PITA pulling the links out because they're all routed through the Facebook link tracker and so the links either have to be clicked and copied from the address bar or adjusted in a text editor. One link, fine. All of them, it's a matter of writing a script.

Bye bye older plugins...
After 7 years RMV gets retired, Alpha 3 after more than 8 years, Organ 3 ran for almost 9 years, Octopus made it just below 10 years. relectro also gets retired.
Time to say good bye...
We wont sell these instruments anymore and will only support them for another year. However, if you have a DAW set up, they wont stop working at a specific date, so you can use them as long as you keep a working environment. At some point these instruments probably wont work in a (then) up to date environment, so be careful with any updates you make to your DAW computer.
Final sale: until End of October you have a last chance to buy any of these plugins at a much reduced price of 19.99 for each of them, any additional sound libraries for discontinued products at 9.99, links are below.

Alpha 3 19.99 US$

For those facebook impaired ;)
Unfortunately the forum editor breaks the links so they're not clickable, You need to copy-paste to the address bar.

btw having an account on fb is quite handy.
There is no need to set up any personal info nor share anything, but there are some informations available only there.

I haven't tried Tal Sampler, but here's a review in SoundBytes you can check out.

I was sad to read the news. I have always liked their stuff and own licenses for many LinPlug products :'(

What happened to DiscoDSP? Their main guy (George?) was a very active contributor here for years. His website says "Temporarily closed." I hope the temporary part is true and they come back.

Both LinPlug and DiscoDSP have excellent software. It would be a shame to see it all just disappear. Maybe that is just the way of things with software and small companies.

It is simply because I'm currently far from home (for about a week again, in a very small village in the mountains in the South of France) and browsing with a degraded environment.

Nobody is forcing you to buy anything. If they reduced the price to $49 and only later explained that they were closing business, then there would be reason to complain. But not in this case. There is no problem here.

Maybe not on Windows, but every OSX update is a potential software killer. :P

Yep.
