Hmm... I somehow feel that the bundled software deals perhaps prohibits a light, downloadable version.
My guess is when making bundle deals, the "donor" companies would expect a certain calculated exposure for the bundled products. I.e., Mackie will say "we excpect to sell xxx copies of T2, thereby giving you r product xxx amount of market exposure". Now, if an alternate version without the 3rd party stuff would lower that number, the 3rd party suppliers would probably not be as interested...
