Just put my order in.

I was thinking about buying Trilian too, but it looks like I might not need it now

The latest beta is up:

Improvements/fixes since 331:

- CPU should be a *little* bit lower (and also more accurate)

I could confirm the reduced CPU use. I just had made a Synth Strings preset using the BP filter of the multimode filter and even in "fast" quality i had 44% CPU for a 3 note chord. With v360 this goes down to 35% (54% with playing fast notes). I kept both versions for a better comparison (with renaming the old one). My CPu is a 4 years old Core 2 Quad Q6600 (4 x 2.4 GHz) running Windows 7 32-bit and Ableton Live 8.2.2.

In one of my presets i already published (see Diva PatchLib) called "JP-8 Mellow Strings IW" The CPU use goes down from 25% to 23% in "fast" quality so the effect on the multimode filter seems to be bigger.
So far that multimode filter was almost unusable for me but now it's better. Anyway for Pads/chords it's still too CPU consuming to use it at "great" quality but it's closer now.

The filter would have to be stereo than. The CPU load would go through the roof :hihi:

Forget I said anything!

A small ergonomic detail: are the keys indicated by blue arrows used in the selection of patches in a future version?

Yes, like in Ace and Zeebs. Will need to make them more arrowish though.

Thanks.......Sure, here you go:

It's just the Panes folder............I'd back up the old one just in case........ :)
Thanxy!

I've realised that I turn down oscillator volume on a hardware more often, because I can match the output volume with the other hand at the same time. On a softsynth it seems as if turning down oscillator volume entails a step too many, so they're always fully up, and a lot of goodness gets lost in overdrive. We shall make a video about that, too.
Oh yes! The Sallen Keys are so temperamental with input it's behaving like a guitar amp actually. Lotsa color options on the gain control.

We need that step in every oscillator mode. Yes, video required at some point...

BTW: I think Geronimo means that the patch selection "arrows" aren't working yet

The effects are not emulated from keyboards in the same way as the other modules, correct? That might be an interesting addition in the far far future. The juno chorus effects and I'm thinking something like the chorus, phase, ensemble section from the polysix.. but likely not worth the effort, just a thought. the effects sound fine as it is.

Are there plans to add additional emulations? I've barely scratched the surface on what's there now and already want more, more
Hehehe :)

Unison option is planned, but different from the one in ACE and TyrellN6 - we're going to do the dynamic voice distribution known from certain synths named after a large gas planet which was named after a Roman god.

The effects are such and such. We have a noiseless version of the famous synth chorus, the ensemble modelled after a digital emulation of *that* ensemble (I don't have a Polysix for reference), the other chorus is taken from a legendary digital multifx box, but tweaked to my liking. The phaser is closely modelled after the current version of a legendary stomp box, but not after the vintage version. The plate reverb is indistinguishable from the reverb in bespoke multifx, but has less parameters to tweak (people already ask me this... yep, it's the one). The flanger is loosly based on that box, but goes through zero. The delay again is modelled after an emulation of a legendary digital delay. The rotary speaker is a completely original design.

All algorithms were designed recently and might have an impact on other products too, e.g. the Uhbik phaser might get a 4 stage mode with the same level of control as he other modes.

Urs, the notehanging bug seems to be fixed in the last Beta?

Wow. Now i know why that ensemble sounds great. I love the Ensemble FX from the Korg emulation. I never played a real one so this is my only reference.

I'll go and try to recreate my favorite Polysix patches with Diva now... :D
Will be difficult to replicate the SSM filter with Diva but i'll try.

The SSM2044 filter chip of the Polysix sees to be also used in the Mono/Poly, Trident, PPG Wave 2 and Siel Opera 6 (which Urs seems to have in his studio).
Would be nice to have this in a later update of Diva.
