So, how does this "no-midi-powerhouse-just-code-one-guy-development-sonar-is-bug-free"-drivel relate to oxbee's lost file links?

almost none left after partying too much I'll admit it lol me and vurt getting big time ys see , but I can still do research enough to know about the orgins of a certian DAW that has countless posts on this very forum about how its not working, just look it up im sure youve got a higher IQ than me so you should be able to find it lol, Also didnt I say why are you getting angry over a DAW? its not your woman or your mom my gosh its just me saying a few bad things about it, dont get into a hissyfit over it ok this is a tuff world and just cause someone has a different oppinion dosent mean they want to pick a fight with you , its my opinion I dont like T2 , are you amazed that i have the balls to say it and im not a suck up like some ppl. even phillip knows im speaking a half truth here and hes the guy who developed it LOL listen go Fuk yourself

Actually Stairsteps, credit where credit's due - the vast majority of Tracktion (the "one guy" you're no doubt referring to) is Julian Storer. And he didn't write it simply to flog it to Mackie for cash... he wrote it for me, him and others to use (and I still do and earn a very nice living from using, rather than selling it, incidentally).
Quick history lesson - then I'll f*ck off: you say you prefer SONAR to Tracktion? Fine. SONAR's excellent. Thing is Stairsteps, SONAR was actually a ground-up rewrite of Cakewalk Pro-Audio v9, so if developers took your approach of "don't bother - it's perfect" then Greg Hendershott would have stuck with Cakewalk and you'd never had had SONAR, would you?!
There's enough room in this industry for different developers to develop different things. Tracktion has always been sold on a try first, buy later policy - so the vast majority of the people that have bought it were obviously happy with it. Maybe have a little more respect for people's choices and they'll respect you a little more!

who's getting angry?
you did research on a certain DAW to find its origins? origins that are no secret anyway? and somehow you even managed to get it completely wrong?
way to go philip, looks like jules will have to stop taking the credit now
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

I'd like to thank Stairsteps for informing me that Tracktiobn can't do MIDI. Guess I'll delete the last two and a half years of my recordings as they can't have happened.

LOL ok ok so i say a little thing about me not liking t2 and i get all this flame huh. mabey i should investagate it more based on the way you all defending it, it must be a good DAW , just that im afriad of all the why does this not work posts on Kvr about it that I havent bought it yet. I will admit im a Sonar user and if i wasnt interested in T2 then i wouldnt even post, now dont go getting hard on me as I said im kinda interested in it as Sonar does not do Audio as good as T2 does at least as far as editing, ya see i threw you all a bone and admitted it is a great kit but I keep hearing it dosent do midi to good so im kinda scared off. So this is a way to stir up interest in it agian for myself, who knows mabey I'll become a T2 user afterall is said and done. Im old enough to admit I was a little to negitive here and please forgive that about me. peace

coolcool ... maybe some of us (myself included) were also a little agressive in our defence of T2 ...
... more seriously ... depends what you mean by 'doesnt do MIDI too good' ... admittedly T2 does focus more on audio than MIDI but that isnt to say it has no useful MIDI features (im primarily a VSTi type of user so MIDI plays a large part in what i do) ...
... T2s MIDI editor / piano roll is not as full-featured as in some hosts (havent tried it but i understand sonars MIDI side is well-regarded) but it DOES work and has all the basics covered in terms of MIDI recording / editing ... the ergonomics of it are a bit love it / hate it though TBH ...
... as philip said though ... try before you buy ...

LOL no thanks needed glad to help and be funny at the same time . but i wasnt trying to be funny lOL what i meant was my gosh its friggin software , but I like the way it came out its so JP22 , anyway I was a dick about it and I will admit that and no you wernt overly defending it its just my point was a true one I do see alot off ppl posting problems about T2 almost non stop everyday and it was concived by a single person and it does not have the strength of Sonar in the midi area , but the attitude I took was wrong it sounding like I needed a tampon and im sorry on that one but yes im interested in using t2 as I need the speed and functionality of it, I just hope it fits my need in Midi cause im going to buy it next week. LOL so in a round about way ive talking myself into it with all of you guys help too lol . peace
And my gosh its friggin hardware was a typo didnt you realize that one LOL but I like you to explain this on to me --------> Well ... this is the raw material software forum, not the T2 forum ... and raw materials make Juce, which has methods which allow you to do record, ... WTF is Juce please help me on this as i never heard the term before.

Missing audio files, when I would reopen a session, was my number1 reason to give up TRacktion for any serious work. It happened to me in the most critiacal situations. I would record multiple drum takes. all ok. Everyone happy. go to sleep, get up and launch the session, to find a section of the takes, missing.
