Jericho is a great preset! And the others are good too

(BTW Steve don't worry, I got what you meant)

Thanks

I'd be interested in such a thing on the mac side as long as it doesn't use TOO much CPU to be useful for pad sounds... I can't try your version here as I don't own a copy of windows.

Thanks for the feedback, BTW it seems that you could easily run Windows XP inside OS X with Parallels
http://www.parallels.com/, and then run a Windows VST Host in OS X

Post

for parallels you still have to own a copy of windows, plus it still wouldn't let me use windows plugins alongside my main ones in logic.

But anyway, your sound samples are excellent.

Much better CPU usage - got 3 copies of addifract, a BDM, a Modelonia and assorted effects and didn't get above 45% - mind you that is on a Q6600 quad core <grin> Previous version was 60% or so for a single instance.

cool, so it's a lot lower already, right?

ps quad core (!)

ok I see, you can't run parallels and logic in sync, right? And anyway it's would be not comfortable I guess,\
anyway if I had an intel Mac I will make a dual boot with XP, and XP home license is not much expensive,
well you can use it with logic but you may have an alternative DAW to use all Windows freeware too.
But anyway, your sound samples are excellent.
glad you like that, thanks so much

Strangely the first instance of the updated version uses 30% of my cpu and then the extra instances only seem to add 5-10% each :?

quad core = no more need to bounce ....yet, but I'm getting close :D

now it makes a lot of sounds!

BTW what you think of the name and the GUI?

Post

Name sounds good and says, what it is, gui is male baby colour and flat ... doesn't look quite pro yet, though it's immediately understandable.

I'd add an eq and/or a limiter, because sounds can become quite harsh, while tweaking.
CPU here is mostly moderate (dual core 1.8 intel)

and now: one can get unique and pretty organic sounds out of it ... luigenius again!

The name's fine and, as mellotronaut says, is descriptive in itself.

The Live styled GUI isn't really to my taste so I shan't pass comment on it graphic wise but it is well laid out which really is the most important thing in any synth.

I did think for a second you'd put an x-y pad in there until I realised it was just part of Live.

i like the GUI coz it's simple and mostly 2D.
name is good too

I finally got round to trying out addifract Alpha ... and I love it already. It makes me want to play. :D I also like the GUI and the colour (it's almost exactly the same colour as the skin I use in Live7). It's using no more than 30% CPU on my dual-core centrino lappy, and that's with BIG chords. Nice one ... gonna download the update now :hyper:

Addifract is a cool name.

Installed the update and started Live ...

Missing File
C:\PLUGINS\VSTi\NUSofting\addifract_update\skin\skin.xml

Getting the same message when i open the synth in Live. No GUI and no presets loaded :( Have I downloaded the wrong file somehow? It shows up as addifract Alpha, rather than Beta as in your screenshot.
