I might be able to add that, but it might crash older versions if they try to load a patch with that.

I feel the same way. Too many features and you just have a pile of bloatware. I'd rather just see incremental advances in sound quality as processors become faster.pdxindy wrote:There is so much new stuff in Zebra2.5 to explore and learn well. It is already epic!!
I already have Alchemy for resynthesis and don't see resynthesis complementing Zebra well. I also like that Zebra is a pure synth and would not particularly like to see sample import. The current ability to import wavesets is sufficient IMO.
I do look forward to a future distortion module. I think a few more noise types in the noise module could be useful. Another couple comb module types (if more useful ones are to be found) would be of interest. Mostly I would like to see further development of the mod mappers as well as 4 of them instead of 2...

I could care less about the GPS. I just want Zebra to be able to create food for when I need to eat, but don't feel like cooking.MCnoone wrote:I'm all for it having a GPS navigational system included.

They're a bit bigger in 2.5kodama wrote:But tiny!Urs wrote:I btw. agree on ModMappers. They're really cool.
I agree with zerocrossing re bloatware and I'm more than happy with the new features in 2.5 such as duophonic mode (which was actually a user request and a good one at that), the improved filters, second glide rate etc.
That said an improved distortion module would be nice (I'm sure that will happen sooner or later anyway), as would a lag generator (perhaps in the mod mixer), and the ability to draw lines, curves etc in the modmapper.
A more leftfield idea - borrowing from Bazille - might an oscilloscope be useful in Zebra, particularly if it were possible to inspect individual voice modules, or modulation sources?
And a really way out idea - how about the ability to use Uhbiks in the effects grid? (I would guess that there will be technical reasons why it wouldn't be a such good idea.)

Zebra1 had "Scopes" in the Grid. These would at least show a VU-meter at the position.
I actually thought of that. As in: If you have an Uhbik license, they'd show up in the fx grid. It isn't all that easy though. There'd be a massive amount of work involved, while Uhbik-X would probably offer the same or better functionality as an external fx plugin.hakey wrote:And a really way out idea - how about the ability to use Uhbiks in the effects grid? How about drawing lines in Spectromorph/graph? Maybe something like you right click on a point and then right click somewhere else and an option will come up to draw a line or a sinuoidish shape or something.

Modulatable EQs as a module? Like, you can control the freq and the level with LFO or an Envelope or something. That'd be kind of cool.

There are peaking and shelving eq types in the normal VCF-modules. You can also modulate each band/parameter of the EQ modules with the Modulation Matrix...kajiotaku wrote:Modulatable EQs as a module? I thought the EQ modules were only available in the FX area at the bottom. I want to be able to add combs and whatnot after the EQ. Also, I don't really want to 'waste' the filters to make an automated EQing effect.

Hmmm... additions for Zebra...
One place where I'd love to see a tweak or two is in the unison area. A lot of the punch in Helix comes from having control over the relative phase of the unison voices. By having the ability to tweak the relative phase offset (random or otherwise), you can get thick fat sounds that either do, or do not have massive punch in the initial part of the envelope.
I think there's even space in the GUI for a 'relative phase offset' wheel.

Anger is a sublimated desire for control.
