No, I'm using 2.5beta. Bulent, can I email you a simple Podium project with 2.5b? Maybe I'm doing something wrong...

Post

Obviously yes. Because SynthMaster 2.5 does NOT sound like that. I'm gonna upload a supersaw sample.

The only thing I do is New->Default patch, set Free for default saw oscillator, some drift, set unison x4, add some stereo spread and detune, and voila! ugly basic "supersaw".

Best regards

Here's my Reaper project file for demonstrating unison:

And here's the MP3:

http://www.kv331audio.com/synthmaster/s ... sample.mp3

3 tracks:

1) No Unison, just 2 osc
2) 4x Unison
3) 8x Unison

All playing the same melody one by one.

No you're not doing anything wrong. I started with a default init patch, and there's something wrong with the sound. I'm investigating it right now, but it's not how it is supposed to sound. Something is just messed up, it sounds kind of LoFi added to it.

Changing the engine buffer size alters the sound, kind of like a "comb" filter effect. Will have to fix this ASAP.

Not sure if this helps or if you intended to get such sound but normally the best way to do an "Supersaw" in Synthmaster 2 is to use the additive oscillator. Switch all OSCs to "Saw", set all 8 parts to the same Freq/harmonics (e.g. at 1), slightly detune the 8 parts and that's it.

Dont have this issue in version 2.5.0.27

Looks like something I've recently changed :(

Anyhow, will figure out today and release an update.

Thank You kyo!

You're welcome, I hope having enough time to test the new beta release before 31th...

And if I could ask for a desire I'd like to see hardsync. And more oscillators in the same layer (ie: an suboscillator and noise oscillator) would be welcome [I know I can use an aditive osc, but I need have more options for each, like phase or hardsync, etc]

Hard sync is already there, the "sync" button. For additive osc, it works for all. Right now we dont have hard sync for each osc in "additive".

Aaarggh  How can I make such a stupid mistake? I just fixed the bug kyo reported, a very easy fix, but has a prominent effect! hundreds of people have downloaded the beta and now we have to announce an update

Well, at least is better later that never :) Maybe you could extend the $70 period a week?

Bulent, i just downloaded 2.5.1.33 to check if unison problem was fixed and, in Podium, SM crashes when I do New->Default sound. And using Orion new SM release doesn't apperas under VST instruments (or effects) menu.

I think there is something wrong. I'm on XP Home. Nothing installed in this PC since I formated it except Firefox and Orion, the other programs are portables.

Hi Kyo,

Fixed that problem last night and made a new release (2.5.1.34) If you could download that one the problems should be gone. Apparently, my Visual C++ compiler caused those crashes due to an "incremental build" related bug
