You're welcome Vojtech!
What's more - given all the hype that surrounded digital audio when it was introduced, it's about time to proof that digital audio has many advantages compared to analog when it comes to signal processing and not just believe the new hype, that everything older than 1977 sounds superior to anything made today.
But making DSP plugins right is a demanding task just as making good analogue equipment is, and I believe Melda is one of the developers that can handle this development, bringing many new fine features, without sacrificing sound quality, keeping aliasing and other digital artifacts to an absolute minimum. So avoiding visual hardware replica is in fine accordance with this goal!
So keep it up, I'm looking forward to more [have a few ideas] - and welcome home from your vacation!
Best,
Mads

hi,audington wrote:Yeah the listen (press ctrl to listen to current band) is fantastic in GlissEQ
i'm tryinng the demo of gliss eq right now, any idea which key i had to press on a mac for this function ?
pressing ctrl is to simulate the right mousebutton on a mac and the alt/ shift/cmd key don't do the trick.

Good EQ feature.
ALT button is used for finding a sweet spot. (Eiosis AirEQ and Izotope Ozone or Alloy EQ)
As you hold the ALT button, tt boosts specific band for let's say 10db (or user selectable) so you can find a sweet spot for freq and Q. At the same time it can lower the master out to prevent clipping. When you release ALT it goes back to normal.

Vojtech,
I just wanted to say I agree, I miss the ease of EQ's like FabFilter Q with your MEqualizer.
These are the things that would surely make me buy into your "free" bundle:
1. Get rid of the power buttons and just use the color circles both on the bottom and on the "eq graphic" area to toggle off and on. No reason for me to move my mouse multiple times... just let me choose a dot and turn it on.
I always find myself clicking the colorful dot next to the power button anyways, its annoying.
2. Give me a spectrum analyzer... nothing special or CPU intense, but it helps, even though its all about the ears, the visual helps merge things.
FabFilter Q has just such ease of use its amazing... I love it. However, I like that yours saves me 2% CPU per instance. I just wish it was as easy/quick to use.
Thanks!

Well, there will be some improvements, though I'm still not sure about the analyzer, marketing reasons and also I found that analyzer usually only complicates things. Though I'm planning some more powerful analysis engine, which then could be added to more plugins, hopefully.
Anyway a question for all of you:

Any news on the new Melda EQ, I'm looking forward to added flexibility, as asked for by users of the fine Melda plugs, here in this thread...
What can we expect and when..?

[btw don't exclude analyzers, and if you can come up with a more powerful engine, it's even better]

Hi Mads, unfortunately it will take some more time, because next on the schedule is MDrummer 4, which simply has the highest priority right now.

Sorry to hear that Vojtech, but I understand you have your priorities.
I have to be patient and hope you'll soon be able to give it full priority
:love::!:
Meanwhile I'll use what I else have at my EQ disposal...

...but now MDrummer4 has been released - so I do hope you're working on the new EQ. Think about how many "best EQ" questions that circles around at the audio-forums. I'm sure a new Melda EQ with the features discussed in this thread would be a top candidate!MeldaProduction wrote:Hi Mads, unfortunately it will take some more time, because next on the schedule is MDrummer 4, which simply has the highest priority right now.

BTW: I really love the Freeform Analog EQ, but I miss quick bandpass "pre-listen" function and a freq-analyzer.

Don't worry, almost finished. It won't be the dynamic eq yet, but there will be many many improvements in all other eqs, wait for it

One more thing for the update:
The "Random" button, on a Melda plugin, is placed right between "Bypass" and "Settings", two things I use quite often. But sometimes I hit the "Random" instead, and loose everything with a single push
Please Vojtech - fine a better place for the "Random" button [maybe even different color] it's dagerous...
Best,
Mads

Well, it will be removed from eqs and dynamics processors, where it makes no sensemljung wrote:One more thing for the update:

How about making the button different, a round button [just like the "?" button] maybe yellow with a black R for "Random". If it looks different and maybe placed first or last on the top row buttons, I believe that would do the trick!MeldaProduction wrote:Well, it will be removed from eqs and dynamics processors, where it makes no sensemljung wrote:One more thing for the update:

Best,
Mads. I'll check if there would be better place, but not sure.
