I noted that setting the buffer size (Engine -> Buffer) under "Settings" to XXLarge makes the problem worse.

Post

I just downloaded the newest version of 32bit SM today v2.5.4.152 and have the same problem with the ARP cutting off early. The previous version of SM I was using did not do this (unfortunately I don't remember the version number).

Windows 7 x64 & Ableton Live 9.0.1

Is it only happening when step length is set to 1/32?

What is your hw buffer size (ASIO/CoreAudio) set to?

For me it happens no matter what the step length is.
But it seems that, the shorter the step length, the sooner it cuts off.

ok working on it now.

Sure, no prob.
But it still says .152 under both downloads and user area.
Where is the new files?

Post

I downloaded and installed "SynthMaster 2.5 VST/VSTi/RTAS for Windows Latest Update" the dll is v2.5.4.153.

The ARP cutting off problem was still there, but I if I set my ASIO buffer length to <5ms the problem goes away (using a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB).

I noticed that SM was crashing Live a lot as well, I think it may be related to this. I will keep messing around to see if either problem happens again. It's been stable for the past 30min.

Tried .153 and the arp-cut off is still there.
(I just copied the SynthMaster2.dll file to the existing install, replacing the old one)

But additionally, it now also hangs notes during ARP-ing.
While the arp is running, notes in the arp-sequence often hangs.

The crashes are not related to the arp. Could you possibly send me a preset that can demonstrate the arp issue?

Thanks

The ARP issue is fixed when I adjust the hw buffer size. I was implying that the buffer size might have been causing the crashes since after adjusting it I have not had any crashes.

edit: I just want to clarify that it seems to be the hw buffer size causing the issues here. Everything is working OK for me now :)

1.
Press "New" and select "Default Sound".

2.
Under "Arp" view, set Arp: on

3.
Set Sync: 1/32

4.
Press any three keys and hold them down.

I tried with the ASIO-setting at max (20 mS).
Problem still there, it just takes longer until the problem occurs.
