Thanks! One of these days! I wish there was more of it too. In my mind there is a ton of great music out there, but I've not managed to find anything consistently like the Sasha & Digweed stuff.

Nueva Digital just put out a new breakbeat compilation that sounded really good though and it got popular quickly on beatport.

I'll find it and post a link.

I marked many of the free patches favorites. I put my own tweaks on many of the patches. I notice it is not unusual where you have reverb on effect one, and some other effect for effect 2. Not sure if the audio hits effect 1 before effect 2, but I would think so. I typically put reverb as effect 2 (or last), left to my own devices (and a fairly standard signal chain), but the way you do it sounds fine also (I did not switch them on your free patches). Comments?

On some of the patches, they are rather quiet (and not bright sounding) unless you use the modwheel/joystick. I know Howard Scarr does that quite a bit too, and he seems to know what he is doing

Just a personal preference: I turned up the cutoff knob a bit so I don't have to use the modwheel/joystick as much, but I don't turn it up so high that using the modwheel/joystick does not alter the sound much. If I really wanted it more muted/quite, I'd probably automate the cutoff and have it turn down. Just a thought. I barely started a new tune, using one of your patches I tweaked. Thanks again!

First about the quiet and dark patches. Well, you're right, once you engage the modwheel they sound more "normal"

The reason I have them start dark is because that is the state of the preset when I decided it was done. It's a little difficult sharing patches because the next person to use them might not get your intentions.

I tend to like to use a lot of darker sequences and just use the modwheel the engage the filter a little at times. I feel like the tone of the filter is so interesting when it's in more of a closed than open position. So while you might be tempted to open up the filter straight away, consider programming a sequence that suites the dark tone first and see what you think. But of course, use them however you want, if you prefer the filter more open, save the patch like that.

With the effects, they are serial so the first one is effected by the second one. I use this for various things, sometimes I want to add delay to a phaser sound, sometime I wan't to apply a phaser to the delays. Sometimes I used one reverb with low diffusion for echoes followed by another one with high diffusion for a smooth tail.

At the moment I have no solid plans to offer bundles. I'm not against the idea at all, but I have to co-ordinate with others. I will keep doing the sales though, about 3 or 4 times a year.

Mike, you're probably gonna hate me for this, but ...

When the patches are this good it makes me want to pay full price. I keep thinking we'll ultimately get more great patches if Sami makes good money making them.
